Looking for ACE gear

“Veriation” and a lot of diversity  that’s the main thing ace has going for them they do selection so the “home grower” doesn’t have to worry about it but as a breeder it’s fked

It depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a good, well-selected version of Malawi that you can easily grow indoors, with good yields, etc., the Ace version is fine. If you want a more authentic, wilder, less “suspicious” version, I’d go with other versions.
For a beginner, Ace has a lot to offer. I started with Panama and Malawi, then moved on to Zamaldelica, Ot1haze, and so on…
You just have to be conscious of what you’re growing…

Ps we are talking about ace stuff, not about dubi, right?

This is exactly how I feel. Been impressed everytime.

Yes everything im saying is about ace not dubi. Apparently im the only guy at og that likes him :joy:. I like him bc he helps new growers all day everyday at icm. That says alot for me controvery aside. Plus hes extremely knowledgeable that cant be denied. Just picks and chooses what he talks about unfortunately haha

Yes I agree he does help a lot of people including me when I was posting on his threads. Didn’t get to helpful when I was talking to him about the China yunnan though and breeding. He started to shy away from me on that one after I started doing the run. Never commenting on it and I was the only one for like a year on that thread.

Then I heard angus on the potcast commenting on the yunnan how it must have skunk in it etc. Then I started putting the puzzle together on that one. Anddddd that’s when my grip started with ace about purity, because of lost time. From a purity stand point. Other then that great gear always works well with my body and of his offering I’ve had so far.

Oh cool you grew the straight China yunnan how was that? Kali china is half yunnan

Perhaps ace is more for growers, landrace for breeders.

Not bad, my only pheno was a grape/tootsie roll profile. But as described it feels like a calm warming indica with Thai influence at some point. Honestly closely resembles the potency of blueberry, without the sleepytime after and still the happy get stuff done effects.
And also no anxiety/hard comedown from it. I LOVED blueberry but something about it, what I determined later on the afghani used in it caused me pretty bad anxiety after about 30 mins. Other then that I loved the way it would make me want to clean and be more active compared to other things.

I’m sure you would like this one actually, as love this line actually. With your love of blueberry.

Edit:This is why I wanted to cross every sativa I had to it. Was a great contender for me,just the possible impurity of it kinda threw me off. I have jars of those seeds I still need to sort out since March, because I got pissy about it.:rofl:

Also a pic of the line nepal/China seedling that popped out of my cocoa I re used.

Id be curious to know the thc and cbd percentage of some of the landrace strains. Its been said that pot in the 80s had 2-3% thc would true landraces be lower than 10% thc? Purely for curiosity like I said.

My cross I made of the nepal Annapurna female x China yunnan. @nick131740

And it’s getting pollinates by my kashmir male as of yesterday.:blush:

I have vintage blueberry from akbb, which came from deans beans. And that turned out to be a dj short bb according to riot who talked to deans beans about it.

Im pretty sure there stuff and landraces in general are >15%. But the additional cannabinoids make the effect. Thats why the effects are better than a 28% thc strain with no cbd. Thats the whole problem today imo high thc means absolutely nothing.

Moroccan beldia is only 2-5% THC.

Exactly i wonder what the cbd is?

It depends on the phenotype. There are THC only plants and CBD only and then mixed ratio ones.

A lot of them are pretty low potency, but the variation gives you scope for finding more potent outliers, and you can find unique smells and effects, it’s just that getting it to stick in the next generation is the hard part. Breeding with landraces is like a game of snakes and ladders with mostly snakes and few ladders lol.

Yeah was gonna say most landrace enthusiasts aren’t explicitly interested in THC%

At least for me I’m more interested in the effect the weed has on me than the THC%

Having said that you usually have a bit of variance in potency in landraces so it’s generally worth hunting through a few to find a plant with v high potency.

I just did a lil bong hit of some highly premature larfy lower Malawi Gold buds thinking it wouldn’t do much and now I’ve basically fucked the rest of my work day
