How did their Malawi turn out. I was thinking about grabbing a pack of those.
Grew ace malawi last season 2 diffrent plants they were both great, along with a couple different actual landrace malawi gold. Aces malawi is great, especialy if your plant counts or space is limited. You will more than likely find a winner or 3 in a 5 pack. The landraces required hunting most arent willing to do these days. I have ace malawi x Real seed company Malawi gold regs if intrested.
I made p2 of the Ace Ethiopian, which is itself a repro of a 90’s collected Ethiopian line. It’s not for everyone, though, as it is not strong, takes 14 weeks and requires some hunting to find good plants. Very pleasant high, though.
Here’s a link to my indoor Malawi grow. I didnt start to document until near the end. ![]()
I have grown both ace Malawi and golden dragon v2 a couple seasons. I did these outside and the Malawi did great finished before hard frosts and was a great potent daytime smoke. The golden dragon didn’t finish either year as it would start flowering about three weeks later than the Malawi. Here in Colorado without light dep, greenhouse or doing it in a pot I could move inside the golden dragon doesn’t seem work for my situation in my garden.
Golden tiger is a mish mash of genetics that loses the element of the pure sat experience, go for their Honduran or old timers haze
Evenin. I’m growing some Ace gear. The Malawi x NL.
It’s a first for me and the girl’s are doing well. As the summer progresses you can check in on the grow at:
As a novice grower Ace was my door opener to landraces / ibls. I’m very glad I found their gear instead of “terp hunting” the US +Netherland strains.
Thank you Ace for making (more or less) landrace strains available to the beginner!
Their New Caledonia, Zam x NJ
, Honduras x Panama and an Eth x Con cross are my favs atm.
Grew one of their GT V3 Thai. Was ok, but my pheno nothing to write home about imo. Had expectations of a more intense asian landracry high…
From what I understand of the breeders game + canna biz most breeders aren’t all open + 100% honest concerning the lineage of their strains…
I have some Ace Malawi seeds. Haven’t tested them yet. I did run some TLT Malawi. It took forever to finish but it was an incredible high. A pure sativa unlike anything ive ever tried. It got me hooked on trying more pure landrace sativas. ![]()
Good luck with your hunt! If I ever get around to growing the Ace Malawi, I will do a seed run for the community. ![]()
The plants I’ve grown from them were decent , I’d say they have Dutch influence in them whether or not people want to hear that dude has admitted it vaguely in old posts and refuses to talk about it now.
I’ve tried every polite way of asking about bangi haze and what I know to be its origins and I get completely ignored , dude can be actively posting in a thread about there gear and will go silent if asked anything that questions genetic history or sheds light on the past.
I think there are much better and trustworthy sources of landrace and heirloom genetics than somebody who will not communicate with customers unless they are receiving complements or statements that support what they allow most to assume.
This is one of the two colas of the Malawi x PCK I grew last run. I’m very happy with it. Long lasting high and really helps with anxiety and depression. I’m going to be using her as a pollen receiver in the coming months.
Better to repro TLT Malawi, let the community experience what you did. We have enough pretendo landrace floating around, no need to proliferate ACEs Malawi AKA Malawi x PCK hybrid that’s allegedly a pure landrace
Nice man thats a beauty. Been puffing on the Panama haze from them and its great. Very piffy smoke reeks of frankincense on the burn
. Super impressed with there genetics my brother threw me 4 samples all were heady sativas. @Headies12green you still got a seed left?
Im following a guy testing their a5 haze x Oaxacan it looks so good. Very promising grow.
@Rohrig what are you planning to cross?
Heres my ace variety pack. Delightful smelling herb. Leather boots, wood polish, and incense terps. I talked to dubi he said its possibly kali china
You mean letting the light of day shine on phoney baloney marketing?
Not all of ACEs “pure landrace sativa” gear is touched, I just don’t want ppl to waste a season of their lives on false ecxpectations with the ones that are ![]()
This guy messaged me a few months ago asking for F2’s of the ace beldia seeds that I grew a couple years ago saying that he wished to get them in this season. I won’t post the message due to site rules but I didn’t respond cuz it isn’t proper to solicit people for seeds and I saw all the ACE hate he gave out previously.
Seems hypocritical to want to grow Ace in private but then in public shit all over them.
Dubi has been helpful to me when I grew their Kali C5. Every day he is responding to people’s grows on icm. They never sold me crap. Does that mean it’s all perfect, no, but campaigning against them is strange. Flooding Asia with EU strains is much worse.
I’m reversing a Sour Lime Haze from Dirty Bird to make some F2s. My medium height Sour Lime Haze #6 (I think) is the donor and going to throw the pollen on Sour Lime Haze #1 (shorty sea of green monster), Sour Lime Haze #5 (very tall SLH), a Sowahh F2, and the Malawi x PCK.
I’m hoping the SLH brings down the flower time and stretch of the Malawi x PCK and helps increase the flower density while retaining the Malawi’s high and purple buds. It’s my first breeding project and I’m excited to see how these turn out.
My experience with posting in the China yunnan thread in his section when I did my op of it.
