Hello great OG community! I am back to farming and I have a question for the connoisseurs.
How many m2 do I need to harvest (6.6 pounds of cannabis) 3 kilograms.
assuming it had 3000 watts. (cob leds)
can it be done in a 3X3? or better, I only invest 2000 watts cob led for that space. 3X3, the space would only go for flowering.
Cheers!!
3 kilos in a 3x3?
Nope.
and 2 kilograms can be in that 3X3 space?
Agreed. Most yields are calculated with hps sog method and claim 400-600 g m2 so that’s maxing per 3x3 at a Lil over a pound. Some claim they do a lot better but I don’t see it.
Best I’ve ever done is a pound in a 2x4 which is basically the same size
At a certain point more light is not helpful. I would just guess you need about 3. 4x8s. So 12x8 room
3000 watts in a 9 square foot space? That sounds more like a microwave than a grow space. Why would you even think about such huge numbers in such a tiny space? Not to be negative here but are you being serious?
I have harvested 1/2 kilo in a space 2 m long x 1 wide, 2 m high. Now I have a room 3 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high.
Meters not feet is a big difference
with air conditioning and co2, it will not be a microwave. Thanks for the answers, but I need comments from members who have already worked with crops over 2 kilos.
Ok height is going to mean nothing but popcorn n hash. Maybe that’s where you get 3000w light. But that still isn’t going to go but so deep into canopy before it’s lost n lower whole half of plant is trim. Your math says 3x6ft pulled 1.1lb. So you need 3xthat space. Lit evenly to match what you’ve done. So your math says about what I said. A bedroom. 10x12 10x10 etc.
Yes, I’m sorry but I can’t get used to the measures used in the United States
Yeah meter I just call 3ft
Well not that you have said meters and not feet like most people use that is a much bigger space.
LOL, good luck to you.
A metric yard
I can get around .75gpw under each 1000w hid so with 4 lights should get you there if your running led I don’t know for sure.
Yeah there it is. That’s my story stickin to it. I think meter is like 3-1/2 ft but I just call it 3. Your right 3 is a yard though.
will have to review the international system of units to make myself understood (do the conversions of feet and yards). because in the United States they use another one and it seems that I was not understood. and at the same time they did not understand what I wanted to say.
Sorry short answer is you need 6m2. 1lb per m2. You have 9m2 . You’re good with that space. Sounds like be a nice grow. Not many cob users anymore but there are some mean cobs out there. Set up right they work very well.
More like 3 1/4 feet. just saying. lol
