You can’t over feed the worms, but if you do put too much food in the bin for them to clear in a week it will start to stink before they get to it.

I add about half a coffee can of rabbit pellets per batch of supersoil. My main mix uses 3, 5 gallon buckets, so it ends up being a little over 2 cubic feet. It has been working well for me.

Moving forward I think I’ll add the weekly cleaning as top dressing. It’s not a lot, enough to go around. I had never really thought about how you can’t store it long term, important to remember! I’d be curious if colder temps help keep long etc… but weekly top dressing is easily the easiest. I top water, so it’ll get in there. I’ll save the tea for EWC.

I have bucketed mine up and used it later. I prefer for it to be pretty dry at that point. I have put it in a trash can with a lid and ended up dumping it later because it got the nasty anarobic smell. I havent had issues with using it dry though. It will rehydrate, and apparently the microbes in my soil have made it useful.
