There is a conspiracy theory that the light of the sun in the past was more yellowish and now is white. And I’m talking about the sun from the childhood 70’ 80’ And sun is a major factor for outdoors grows.

If i use my Eyes, i would describe the look of modern collected Landraces as worse looking.
So, even if we disregard the color. The green strains today look like sandpaper often. Like they gone trough a Storm .

If the climate was causing that, it would mean that the climate changes something so beautiful like age old Landrace-heirloom-breeding into something less beautiful.

So, if climate is causing that, i would be a bit worried about our World.
I mean we may just have to be worried about todays world ? , but im just not shure if its thaat crazy.

If people regrowd haze the 20st generation, i rarely see the same look appear like in landraces. They still shine in colors and no sandpaper look. They are selected…

So, i just find my explonation that the strains are nomore selected as the most compelling.

  • Since the 70s landrace-seedmaking was overtaken by Seedbuying from big Companies.

  • wild plants often have the same unbeautiful look, as far as im concerned since ever .

  • (with exeptions, like beepollinated species often have more color, as bees Eyes steer always thowards vibrant colored things per example…, i learned that in School.).Bee selected meadow flowers

  • If people regrowd haze the 20st generation, i rarely see the same look appear like in landraces

That are 4 Statements that point thowards my theory that modern landraces arent selected nomore… but im totally open to think the climate chnged, its just less points that would make me digging further into that.
Probably !

Howdy y’all, it seems not only did the signup go over the requested 5 slots at a time, the numbering got thrown off going from claim #4 to claim #6 effectively skipping the #5.

I saw the updates last night and held off making a claim due to the comment by @Upstate saying 5 at a time and he will post again asking for 5 more. At the time I saw the thread, 5 members had already claimed a spot.

Sound off with numbers 1-5 today. Tomorrow or the day after ill ask for 5 more. Within a week i should get to everybody.

I’m thinking it would be fair to have @Tejas as the 5’th claim and upon the next call of action by @Upstate for the next 5 to then resume with opening claims #6-10 for the next 5 members to claim those spots. Mostly because I think others saw the first 5 claims and held off making their own claim as to fit with the format @Upstate outlined, and also because @Upstate mentioned being really busy and that format he outlined causes less need for him to scroll up and look for the next 5 amongst the comments intermixed with claims and the comments that are not claims. We’ll all eventually get the, seeds so however @Upstate wishes to proceed is fine by me, but I think we should respect his requested format and keeping the claims of 5 easy for him to navigate by waiting for his future requests for 5 at a time. That makes it more likely for each group of 5 claims to be comments close to his recent requests instead of him having to scroll around the thread looking for them. Many blessings and much love

Not to top on toes, but I understood or misunderstood that I would be the start of the second group of ten, 6-10. Do mean to glum up @Upstate efforts.

You were the 5th person to make a claim which is why I believe they put you in the first group.

Edit. I also misunderstood the whole of it. Thank you for the clarification @Sbeanonnamellow

Howdy @Tejas, I didn’t see a claim for the #5 spot and assumed your claiming #6 was just a typo.

The only members I see claiming spots before you are:

@Hemlock with claim #1
@Tykal with claim #2
@Jim with claim #3
@Mrgreenthumb with claim #4

And then you, @Tejas, claimed with #6 but you were actually the fifth member to claim so should have been claim #5.

Just trying to help iron things out so it’s easy on @Upstate managing sending them all out. Many blessings and much love

Howdy @Puszcza, were you part of the group purchase for the Congo expedition?

This is the most recent list before myself and @g1900 were added:

There is one slot occupied by an anonymous donor so if that’s you my apologies. I just don’t want this thread to get out of hand with claims out of order or claims by members who weren’t part of the group purchase expedition. And I didn’t notice any comments by you in the Congo trip thread so just assumed you weren’t part of it. If you are the anonymous donor, my sincere apologies. Many blessings and much love

No, sorry, I get a little ahead myself. I will read about the project and wish you good luck at preserving the genetics!

Thanks for posting that. I didn’t realize this was for members that purchased a spot. I need to remove myself from #3

Howdy @Jim, massive respect. I didn’t even realize you weren’t on the list, I saw the name Jim and my brain associated it with @Jimdoors who is part of the group purchase.

It would probably save some confusion if a custom PM group is/was created with the contributing members of the Congo trip group purchase included, to be used for the claims and distributions of the seeds. Just my opinion. Many blessings and much love
