I thought I got the Original Hz from seedbay but not sure now, may have been proseeds? They were all purchased around 2022
Do you have an opinion on which of these might be best and maybe a quick breakdown on each?
I want to have a look for a keeper male 
Also what’s the Original Hz x SK1 like? My wife likes hybrids but I will try and tempt her with a Original Hz also

@MadMac . Would you please give a short outline of how to use ethephon to reverse a male plant? I have three males that I want to reverse and I have the ethephon but I don’t know exactly how to use it. Thank you.

Lieu Hanh was repro… also cool stuff … loved the smoke too
OHz x SK#1 is fast flowering with bigger nuggets… great smoke as well but like more SK#1 triploid x OHz … but you can’t find it now… will repeat… made just a few … followed Sam’s advice to find the best sk#1 …
best high is still OHz… long lasting euphoric … feel good … forget anger or stress … best medicine I’ll have to offer
I’ll used Florel and mixed it with water… 15ml Florel in 1 Liter water…
said Sam to me… so I’ll followed… one time spray before go into flower mode is enough for the haze… maybe indica or hybrids need a second spray… and than the magic happen’s like with reversing females… with haze and landrace like Manga Rosa I’ll need only one time spray before put into flower mode … that’s enough… with hybrids I’ll need 2 x spray… if I’ll spray 2 times the flowers are impotent … same as the mix is too strong…

here also a little update
wonder happen… the old old Malawi seeds too very long to germinate… but @ the end I’ll got 10/10 … sooo now I’ll have enough for a small repro or to select the better plants… they all looking pure sativa … it was one of the best Malawi lines out there… the other was from Green Hornet … all long gone…
Mango Biche got 7 plants … need to repro’d too … it’s the original
Colombian Gold 70’ … do I’ll love them… those are true pure gold like the haze and those old Colombian lines… thx to USC for keep this important line alive… sure these line will give new life to the haze and help me to create similar… but than we have F1 for growing fun… 10/10 and not 2/10
Jamaican … yes looks better than blue mountain… pure sativa… but slow grower… can’t wait to smoke and haze the best
Wacky Weed from SnowHigh … was a gift from a friend… see what I’ll found… a indica plant in pure sativa seed … hmm
Manga Rosa Haze aka Mango Haze… it’s for personal smoke… 12 - 14 weeks … best high after OHz… to me my best match with the haze… this is absolute premium stuff … strong long lasting full sativa high… it’s not often that I’ll flower my hybrids again for personal smoke… Sam told me to use a good landrace to pair with the haze and than by to the haze to get it all back… so I’ll did also with the Manga Rosa… that’s the 3’rd row… Manga Rosa / OHz x Manga Rosa reversed … first test of the best

those where old seeds that I’ll got from a member of the forum I’ll was in…
the seeds where private collected @ the source in the 90’ but never grown… I’ll was not much interested because I’ll had got never a good AG … had Bodhi AG and before another AG … booth where not the real deal… so had no expectations … but after flowering the crop I’ll noticed that those where different… more like Colombians… I’ll asked Sam… and he said looks like the real deal… so I’ll did my best … used 3 girls and 2 males … that’s all I’ll got out of around 25 old seeds after cracking the shells on some…

Thanks! This are beautiful and similar to the snowhigh AG I am growing now. They are at 11 weeks and still look early.
Do you recall the range of flowering time of your AG?
I am also growing the bodhi/mms AG and the first plant to mature has gone 16 weeks. The rest will take much longer. Only three out of 10 plants have significant trichomes at this time.
I was growing the HCG AG but all of the females hermied so I chopped them at 10 weeks, they were almost done anyway and certainly were not pure landrace.

in the end 80’ and 90 we where often in Amsterdam…
there we got the best weed … most was only sold in Amsterdam … never left A’dam hehe … we got the Thai Stick, Colombian, Jamaican and Mexican … but those where rar… we had a few time AG and it was really good… summer weed … go on the beach and enjoy the day… it had also some kind of special smell like those I’ll have here… well have nothing really to compare but it has to go 16 weeks and must be pure sativa… most of the Colombian and Mexican have lime green color if not all … this looks pure … no trace of dutch or indica genetics in it… no intersex… and different to the others I’ll had…

As a fellow Haze lover, love the thread. I have tried growing haze many times, sometimes it came out well, other times not. Sounds like you got the set up dialed perfectly.
Makes me want to try a full blooded Haze again.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. 16 weeks sounds about right for many old mexican strains. Sounds like the 80’s and 90’s were fun in Amsterdam! I am sorry to disappoint you though, in the 70’s we got Thai Stick, Colombian, Jamaican and of course Mexican, in the Ozarks of Missouri…so not all of it went to Amsterdam
Your description of the AG we got back then rings true. Happy go to the Beach (or in our case the river or lake) and enjoy the day. I never felt it was overly strong, mexican giggle weed was a typical way to call it. And the smell, indeed it was a delight, Oaxacan has the smell too, but maybe more incense.
Any way, thank you for preserving it. You are doing god’s work.

Waiting for the Lightmix and Mycotrex and still undecided on what to use, tablets with bloombastic or just Plagron bloom+Greensensation.

little extra round in the meantime…
my fav haze lady and the best two destroyer get hazed by my haze male… … you never know… but in general… did not get a good haze hybrid with another polyhybrid… that’s why i’ll prefer landraces… it’s harder to find good but if … it’s killer cross… don’t really know but me think all those commercial strains missing the good stuff like thcv and a few terpene that got bred out in favor of nice looking short flowering plants with lot’s of thc … it’s like heirloom apple… they are healthier than those commercial…

How many generations have you taken your landrace x o haze creations? I’ve def noticed commercial varieties lacking quality on all fronts, thank goodness that people like you are after the quality and forums like this exist to discuss, trade etc

the effect… the plants looking more uniforme and nice …
F1 is the real fun… all behind is for marketing…
me think if you all look back and maybe have grown a strain like Zamaldelica or similar… same goes to Nevils Haze and many many other … the first edition was kick ass … all later not… nobody keep the cut’s to repeat …
but there is a possibility … reverse the girl and make seeds from her … than you can repeat … talked with Sam about it… he said if done right it’s 99% same… 1% genetic variation if … . i’ll was looking for long term solution if i’ll find a killer… like my last Mango Haze … this grow i’ll keep the cut’s and after smoke test … if there is again such killer than i’ll make seeds from her… more for my own pleasure … it’s easier long term to have seeds instead keeping the cut’s … i’ll already have 24 cut’s to manage … the only thing you can’t do… well maybe … reverse a male and make seeds… i’ll did but not testet yet and Sam wasn’t also sure … so males need to be kept as cut…
but in general they are easier than girls… like in real life hehe

I have a Ghost Train Haze #1 x Cinderella 99 cross that I made 10 years ago. Anyway, I always get at least 1 male that produces a few small female flowers. These males are covered in resin glands. So last year one of these resinous males pollinated himself. He made 5 seeds. 3 germinated and 1 has survived. It is a male but has not made any female flowers…yet.

Also, all of the females from this line are perfectly normal. No hermies, so Im not sure what is happening. I asked Sam about it a month or two before he passed away and he said he had not seen that before.

Same lighting placement but i add some extra uv overhead.
I start out at 12/12 for one week. Then i start decreasing the light by 15 minutes a week till lights are at 11/13 where they stay for 1-2 weeks. Then i decrease the lights by 10 minutes a week till finish.
It seems to shorten flowering times without
resorting to harvesting early and possibly losing effect as opposed to when i just just go from 24/24 to 12/12 or 12/12 and 11/13 all the way thru.
Im not a botanist or scientist so take what I say with a grain of salt. This is just what i observed in my very small analysis.

Have youever had the pleasure of growing any of White Buffalos seeds? They work with a seedsman haze, an original haze and have a male that is both those combined, bunch of columbians, aficans, south eaat asian stuff and they have what they call jamaica pinepple skunk…and i know, skunk doesnt go in haze, but they crossed it to original haze and original/seedsman haze and puna haze (i dont have details on puna haze but the plants are fantastic and the smell flavour has alot of haze and incense in it and very uplifting effects. Food for thought.
