In Afghanistan and Pakistan the latest harvests are known to produce the best charas but itâs relative and from the field. From one plant to another it can be really different and a late specimen can be also less good it all depends on the lineage. JGLâs old report is interesting about that even if his pheno was harvested too early, his cannabinoids test with too much CBG reveals his too early cut. Anyway yes even from a very long flowering one you feel the indica and the body stone but itâs less heavy and more mental active, long lasting high too, I consider that as difference between afghanica vs indica.
So compared to common indica selection under 10 weeks my line can be considered as long lasting yes but from its heirloom reality i would say itâs just normal. By cons i think in modern strains over selected you donât find that touch of positivity and happiness that makes the Mazar one of the best potency i know.
Update on the Mazari, this must be week 5 of flowering a bit less than half way through
The nutrient uptake is increasing unfortunately not at the same level on both. This have me tweaking the ratios of nutrients so I donât burn one while the other gets enough nutrients too,
Unfortunately they share same tray so I canât tailor it individually.
Anyway, buds are getting bigger and aroma is getting stronger, I do really love how the beefy one smells, some sort of tropical fruit like , not mango maybe close to strawberry but not quite
The other one however is is more flat I canât really tell what is the smell, it does smell vaguely to sweet but the main odour I canât yet describe it.
A major defoliation and trim was done to the branchy pheno, on the adjacent plants ( less direct sunlight) I had seen some early PM signs so I decided to increase the airflow on this one as well as a precaution seems she didnât stunt
Aiii itâs Maz big weak point, the other leafy one should be monitored very closely too! Defoliation well done but the density of plants in the terrasse makes it wetter so itâs going to be difficult to get them to the end. I think you should divide or stop the automatic watering and switch to manual but very rarely. In few words i would say be hard and let them dry!
The issue isnât with the Mazari these bad bitch*s are though
Is 1 sunshine day dream that I have got on the corner, she barely gets 7-8 hours of direct sunlight, the lower parts not much. From there I could see couple of white spots here and there on that only plant , also I was indeed late for a well needed defoliation so just because is so close to the affected one and to improve airflow I did defoliate it too.
First couple of pictures is the branchy one , the other three the beefy, buds are getting bigger and thigh by the day.
Iâm afraid I canât unplug the watering system at this point, with so much salt buildup on the top of the pots I will just have a massive nutrient lock or burnt , plus they will just dry out in less than a day, I do work 12 hours a day and take care of a baby born⌠no time at all , FFS I canât even get rid of a simple withe fly pest I know I just couldnât do it, so we will roll with the flow , there are resilient plants they will thrive for sure
In the other hand from the close-up i feel the branchy sativ one maybe earlier so good point to finish in mid October. Will see but with the production of resin amplifying it will be more and more critical, maybe unplugging overnight can soluce. Anyway have a happy equinox week-end, gracias amigo!
