Out of likes for a long time…
Interesting to note that higher light levels would be required? Have I got that right?
My lights were at 80% and I’ve dimmed it to 60% since the last week. I was under the impression that in nature with autumn setting in, the light levels begin to drop. Should I turn them up to 80% again?
Nope. I was saying the opposite. Too much PAR near the end of cycle can cause fox tailing and continual busts of new calyx. But it sounds like you’ve got it under control. Keep them at 60% .
I think your just gonna have to ride it out and the plants will let you know when they’re done. It looks like you’ll have a good harvest, when you hit the Finnish line.
Cool bro…I’ll just ride it out till they’re done.
Will cut down on the watering frequency and I’ve been mulling over getting potassium sulphate and doing flushes every 3 days with that as well.
Just caught up here. Have seriously depleted my likes for the day! Great work @iceman. Looking forward to seeing those blue gelato babies finishing up. Keep on growing - Overgrow the world!
Same here buddy…out of likes since forever.
Thanks for dropping by…
He’ll yeah! Let’s OG the world!
That’s a good enough description for me to work with. Was away at the caravan for the weekend. And just come back to having 2 gelato up. As well as a few others and one i don’t think will make it.
Hello everyone…
It’s been a busy weekend and I haven’t had much time to update the journal. Things have been going pretty well so far. Some pics I took on Friday.
And today the power went off for about 1.5hrs. Got me very anxious the whole time because the buds are really dense and rh was spiking to 80s.
The lower larfs that I trimmed last week from the blue gelato41 plant in dwc (I’ve taken 3 clones from that plant ) has dried and turned out to be a very flavorful and potent smoke. I’m stoked because that plant (dwc) has another 3 weeks or so to go and her larfs are already so good! So this gives me confidence as a couple of clones should be ready by next weekend. Most of the trichs are cloudy and a very few ambers can be spotted. Also I’ve got new neighbors that have moved into the building (upstairs and next door) so I may run out of luck since I dont have a carbon filter and my house reeks with so many plants. I’m currently using this essential oil nebulizer near the front door and it’s helping a little.
So next weekend I should be taking down a few clones…let’s see. Take care everyone.
lookin great bro! can´t wait to see them finsh!!!
Hello everyone,
Quick update for the week. Got a new phone and now the pics looks better.
We’re now completing 12 weeks this weekend since I flipped to 12/12 on these plants and my patience is running thin. I’m going to harvest all clones in coco tomorrow. Trichs are mostly cloudy and a very few clear on the top colas. The lower are all cloudy with a little amber here and there. The plants in dwc will go on flowering until the end of this month. That’s 12+ weeks on hybrids!
Well, in the tent below, one of the blue gelato41 clones snapped while I was moving the plants around to change the reservoir of the dwc plant behind. That’s it! They’re all going down…
Below, the one that snapped.
Her main cola is being hung to dry outside. Tomorrow, there will be company…
That’s it for today. Will get on with the harvest tomorrow and update once again on the loot…
Take care everyone…
hi bro lookin good at your side!!! 12 weeks is alot of time. i can understand that you running out patience. i never had a strain that took so long.but it sure is worth it!! so best wishes for your harvest!!!
Honestly, I usually run all my plants from seed for 12+ weeks in flower. Since these are clones, they seem ready to me. The mother’s in dwc will go on till the end of the month. That’s 15-16 weeks!
So, I did the chop a couple of hours back on all the clones. They could go for another 2 weeks but I’m not gonna wait that long.
Room smells amazing and more intense.
ah ok you start from seed! i´m working with clones but soon i`m going to pop some seed and selcet a new mother from the sour diesels i recieved. hopefuly there are some nice males in too! so i can start my own crosses
No brother. What I meant was plants that have been started from seed as compared to clones. I usually veg plants from seed for 4-6 weeks and clones for 1-2 weeks.
Good luck on the Sour Deisel. I’m looking to get my hands on some. Should be an exiting grow to follow.
Some pics of the top colas…
The one that snapped yesterday (below)
And below, Gorilla Zkittlez clone.
Got yourself a couple donkey dicks I see. Nice work!
Hee haw hee haw…
Thank you brother.
Right on @iceman , nice harvest! Do you primarily smoke flower or are you a hasher?
Flowers bro…
This time I’m hoping to sift hash from the trims. Hoping it turns out well and thank you for giving your tips on it.
I will always save the scissor hash.
Damn…forgot to give an update on the dwc girls. Today it’s 12 weeks flowering on the blue gelato41 (both plants at the back) and 11 weeks on the Gorilla Zkittlez (front). I may harvest the gorilla in 2 weeks but the blue gelato41’s are nowhere near to being done.
Take care everyone.
Hello everyone,
A quick update this week…nothing much to say. I may be harvesting the Gorilla Zkittlez (front) by next Friday. The Blue Gelato41 in the back should go on another week and we’ll see.
I’m already in trim jail from the clones I harvested last week. Loving every bit of it. I’m really happy how the plants have dried out slowly and the smell is amazing.
Below is a nug of Gorilla Zkittles clone. She smell like sour lemon rubber tyre. Haven’t smoked her yet but she should be potent for sure.
Below is a nug from Blue Gelato41. This pheno smells like starwberry-lime and a very sweet creamy flavor. She’s definitely a hash plant and very resinous.
Below is a joint I had rolled from a tester nug of the Blue Gelato41 (a different pheno, smells like armpit😑) that I harvested 2 weeks back. Look at that resin build-up on the joint!
I still have a lot to trim and will be getting back to it once I’m done with this post.
Take care everyone and enjoy the weekend!
