Yeah I know what you mean. 90+ is a good & 75+ OK but below the stratosphere is kinda under-whelming. It’s like forgetting to light some firecrackers at 6am to fuck with the neighbors.

ummm I think they meant thc content not yield/lbs per plant
So glad you enjoyed “The Rose”…
Yes. A lot of the strains these days can be much too strong for me. The extracts, dabbing, vaping stuff especially. I don’t want to pass out when I take a hit, nor do I want to be locked to the couch and so high that I can’t function. Personally, I def don’t go looking for the highest THC percentages when I’m choosing a strain. I prefer a easier high.
I watched a show many years ago, they were in Amsterdam and experimented on like 5 people. First gave them pure extracted THC… All 5 became incredibly paranoid and uncomfortable. Then they gave them pure CBD and they all were happy and laughing till they cried. A balance of chemicals is much more important than just a high THC level. More def doesn’t mean better! That’s for damn sure!
That’s the way I like tops bending with weight very nice .
Those are just crazy Buds! Inside we do not get Buds like that very often, if ever! Just beautiful!!!
The DBHP plant is way bigger than she looks in the pic. She spans like at least 10 feet across and 7 feet tall. I got an ounce and a half dry off of the one dead branch I had to pull early. I’m hoping she holds up another 2 weeks or so until I get back from vacation. If not, Dad will be taking her down alone while I’m gone as he’s gonna water my garden while I’m away. I’m pretty sure she’s gonna yield at least a pound and a half dry.
Inside one of those branches alone wouldn’t fit in most grow cabinets. Each branch is a good 5 to 6 feet long!
I realize that, why I said it. One day I hope we can grow outside here, but with our weather it would be a real challenge even when legal.
Damn @meesh that Botafumeiros looks bomb, very resinous. I wonder if it’s the leaf or the resin it throws that you are allergic to?
Your DBHP looks like a dr sues tree haha. Are you getting lemon gas terps from her?
This year’s grow has certainly been an eye opener for me as far as strains as well. With all of the different variety’s that I have, I am really nailing down what works for me and what doesn’t. My favorite plant when it was growing was the Kushage and I did just fine with her smoking wise when she was premature. Once fully ripened and cured, she hits like a train and while I ended up enjoying her high, the initial 15 to 20 minutes I had to talk myself through. In the end, she reminded me why I stopped buying Kush strains at the dispensary. They are just too strong for me. So far, every time that I have experienced feeling what I consider to be too high or uncomfortably high has been some strain of Kush. But that’s just me. While I love the flavor of my Kushage, I don’t see myself dipping in to that bucket much throughout the year. Good thing Dad and my Man seem to really love her.
The Botafumeiros seems to effect all 3 of us that have handled her wet. Don’t know what she has that’s so allergenic. Wish I knew. She only affects my skin, but Dad and the Man’s sinuses are affected. I was going with her pine terpene as the culprit, but other’s have had random strain allergies that had no pine, so it’s hard to say.
The DBHP is the tastiest plant I’ve grown this year. She tastes like cherry lemon heads. So sour that she’s almost diesel like, but with a sweet cherry like finish that lingers in your mouth. I couldn’t stop smoking her. MOTR said one pheno had a mushroom earthiness as opposed to the citrus. Boy am I stoked I got the citrus, the taste for me is addictive. Kept me going back to the bowl even after I was high.
Same <—- I didn’t get much cherry but the lemon gas was strong with my preferred female. I love the smoke and the taste that lingers in your mouth is like a blast from the past. It’s one 13 weeker I might keep around.
It’s possible that it’s not a cherry taste and something else that finishes sweet. My man didn’t catch the cherry either, just sour. It could be just my taste buds. lol But the sour lemon gas is certain.
@Mongobongo have you found the mature smoke to be incredibly racy off the top as well? MOTR said the same thing as I off the smoke. Although, she said it doesn’t happen in edible form to her.
Hope you run some Skunk #1 next time, you would love the effects and flavor.
I will def be running at least 2 skunk strains next year. As I’ve come to discover that they are still up my alley as far as the happy, giggly high and flavor profile I enjoy.
Yes, you would love #1, upbeat, tasty, good high but not too strong, 100 % Reco her.
By planting time next year, Dad and my Man will also have narrowed down their favorites as well. So far Dad is leaning towards the Kushage and the Jungle Spice. If I were to grow an incredibly dominant Indica strain for him next year, I will probably grow them in containers. I had such a problem with bud rot and the extremely dense CBD buds were the only comparison I have with buds that size and density and she didn’t have a problem in a container, but the JS in the ground was destroyed. Not sure what the difference was, but I can only try a new system for the heavy Indicas. Always an experiment when growing, I’ll tell ya.
