I grew one, she turned out a he and I pulled it, unfortunately. I’ll try again next year cuz I want to try it so bad. as a matter of fact, he was the only male I got last year.

So far, I have tried all of the strains that I have grown with the exception of the diesels… I would rank them from my favorite to least …
Original Skunk - My fave. Uplifting, happy, giggly, cerebral, not too strong and fucking delicious
Holy Punch - Cerebral, but also body heavy without the couch lock, more muscle relaxing body high, not tingly though. Pleasant juicyfruit gum taste. (nice fruit flavor, which I normally wouldn’t choose as my preference, but for some reason, I love this one)
Botafumeiros - Spicy taste. Cerebral high, more classic sativa like without the raciness
Cherry Berry White - Comparable to the Botafumeiros with a racier high. Def daytime smoke. Energetic. Spicy, unique flavor that I can’t really pinpoint
Jungle Spice- Only ranked lower because it gives me a weed hangover. Great high actually. It is a strain that actually gets you more high as you smoke it. The grapefruit taste is amazing as well, but doesn’t bode well for the smell. The cured grapefruit smells like vomit. lol
DBHP- Ranks #1 in flavor. Love the high after it mellows, but in terms of raciness, hit’s lower on my list.
Kushage- Absolutely perfect in every way if you want to get really fucked up (and I don’t) lol
Good Shit - Off the chain sativa. So strong and buzzing. Lit up every pain receptor I have like a light bulb. Totally, not my thing. Serious hard cores would love it though. Reminded me of a Columbian Gold on steroids. If someone made that dab stuff with this, a hit may make you faint. This one made my legs shaky and buckle.
I’m not ranking the Charlotte’s Angel CBD as she doesn’t fit in the same category. She is a gem all on her own. I’d recommend her for a good CBD grow, especially yield wise. If you don’t like earthy, skunky flavors though, she wouldn’t be the one for you.

Certainly sounds like it. Why try to hunt down something that has already been improved upon. I will check into it.
I’m a fan of tasting something before I go invest money into it. And you go with what you know. Much better with friends though.

I have to rank the taste of the one Deep Chunk x Jungle Spice I have as unique and worth growing.
The SSDD is a fun one to pheno hunt. Don’t do just one girl you need to grow a few girls and choose the one that suits you best. Lots of variation in those f2’s

I have a fem seed of Holy Punch I can send you, if you are interested. I won them off a vault contest and was actually surprised by how high it ranks on my list.
Since I’m an outside grower, I don’t really have the resources to pheno hunt. I sort of get what F2 grows out female, unfortunately. If I were indoors, I’d be a pheno hunting fool.

Have you noticed as a grower, regardless of what you are growing, veggies, flowers, cannabis, you want feed back about your products? And not just “yeah, it’s good”. You want some specifics? For me, the thrill of growing anything lies with giving it away. So growing for Dad and my man seems more important to me than even growing my own preferential strains.
Until now, I have been bugging my boyfriend to give me more specifics on what strains he likes. He is such an action oriented person though, it’s been hard for me to get many descriptors out of him as he isn’t as succinct in expressing himself in words. He told me 2 weeks ago that he had finally labeled his small film canisters that he transfers his daily smoke to from the jars and is only smoking one strain at a time now on the daily so he could give me better input. Well, I finally got something from him today. Apparently he is with Dad and his number one is the Kushage. He likes the really intense high. In the same breath, reminded me that he is a recovering alcoholic and more of anything is always best for him. He strays toward the extreme in all things. He hasn’t got to the Botafumeiros, Holy Punch and DBHP yet and has only smoked some uncured here after smoking other strains, but mentioned that flavor wise, he’s been really attracted to

I didn’t rank the @ReikoX autos on my list either, but all 4 of his crosses gave me the same high. It’s a go to nighttime bud for me when I want to rest. Relaxing, no raciness, just heavy body high without couch lock and paranoia. Just mellow, all of them. As far as taste, I had 2 very unique plants flavor wise and they were the darker of the phenos. Pretty sure they were Sugar Black Rose x Dark Devil and Sugar Black Rose x Red Poison seeds. The first tastes like grape soda and the 2nd is the Rose and I can’t be sure anyone else got these particular phenos. Honestly, the other 2 crosses with the Sugar Black Rose that were lighter color buds, I can’t tell the difference between them and eventually just mixed those together. Maybe because they are Indicas, I have just lumped them in a separate special category in my mind. Anyway, bedtime strains.

I really do! It wins my most unique pheno award for sure. Never had anything like it and probably never will again.
Like @beacher was saying the variety these days in strains in amazing! Has anyone else reported the rose smell in theirs? I believe @Pedro_Bann had one close like potpourri if I’m remembering correctly.

So weird! Neither parents or grandparents exhibited any of that. 
And the growth pattern too. 
I would say you had it mixed up if the odor wasn’t there.

Isn’t it? Never know what’s gonna emerge when you cross plants I guess. I really wish I could give a better description of smell and flavor… like smell o vision, because so far everyone who’s tried it has noticed the unusual smell. Fully cured it’s almost like cherry cough syrup, menthol, spicy and sweet with some unidentified herbs rolled up in one. The high is very sativa and wakey wakey, full of energy. What was the high like on the parents?

Both very laid back Indica highs but the RCB 
is where that syrupy cherry comes from… The BerryWhite was almost like cotton-candy…very sweet. There may be some CBD in the cherry strains… 
Grandparents were CherryBomb, Skunk#1, and (i think) Blueberry, White Widow.
Those giant spears remind me of the old school sativa (Mexican?) plants.
Maybe a bunch of recessive traits lined up with this one?

There is very little sweet to this plant. I’d describe it as spicy (menthol cough syrupy, almost like it’s hot or something)
Edit: Finally got it! A cherry cough drop. And not a Ludens, like a Hall’s lol

You can get a LOT of variation if you outcross too many times in succession. And more and more as you go on. It’s good for a pheno hunt, but at some point if you want to make progeny that predictably resemble the parents, then you gotta stop and inbreed the pheno from the line for some generations and try to pick out / stabilize the attributes you want.
So if you inbreed Cherry Bomb x Skunk #1 for 3-4 generations, and then inbreed Blueberry x White Widow for 3-4 generations and then cross those two, you’d have a lot less variation in your seeds than if you immediately took the Cherry Bomb x Skunk #1 cross and crossed that to Blueberry x White Widow cross.
It is definitely possible to see more recessive traits come out if you cross multiple times without stabilizing. In contrast, if you start with highly inbred genetics, the F1 generation only shows dominant traits unless both sides were recessive for it.

Popped open the CBD bucket. She’s starting to stink mighty nicely. Still harsh on the smoke though, but she has a few weeks of curing to go still. Smoking some now for aches and pains.
The Botafumeiros should be dry by tomorrow and ready to start curing. We had a heat wave last week and our usual humidity at @68% dropped to 6% so everything is drying really fast, which I don’t really like, but it is what it is.
We need some more mason jars, but I need to get a small jar each of all my strains, so I don’t have to keep opening the buckets, especially since I seem to smoke something different every day depending on my mood. So rad to have variety. I’m gonna have like a 20 mason jar medicine cabinet when I’m done with all the autos and regs I grew out. lol One for every mood.
