Meesh's Garden of Weeden 2022

This is true. @ReikoX is my go to for both advice and autoflower seeds. The man’s a legend in my eyes. I promote him every chance I get. When your breeding seeds like he does this stuff matters. In the end if it wasn’t for the likes of @ReikoX doing his thing fem seeds wouldn’t exist. Sorry if I came across as a tool. Wasn’t meant that way :v:

They do sales for $10 a test on Black Friday for any quantity. Good time to stock up on them.

I think the single love fire that just showed got it’s head burnt up by the heatwave. Not sure if it will live, but I have had one with it’s head chopped off at birth actually live and produce buds. lol Strong suckers

I could have shaded the seedlings, but that would have required bringing them outside of the net and I didn’t want to risk bringing any bugs back inside with their return.

Last year Farmer Freeman offered $10 tests during their 4/20 sale as well. I’m hoping to stock up this year.

My new method is to cover them with a paper towel in that transition, if it’s windy or too hot & bright. Can be misted too. Seems to really help but I’ve only tried it once or twice. Gotta fasten with rubber bands for round pots or tape for bigger flats.

:face_with_symbols_over_mouth: that heat. :man_facepalming: It’s rained here for 2 days weeks straight, about 2 ft of rain, & I still prefer it, somehow.

Wow, 97º. I’m not looking froward to that. It’s only barley trying to be spring here. I did have the first hummingbird of the season buzz me yesterday while I was potting plants. We don’t even have leaves starting on the trees yet. I rushed in and made up a batch of sugar water and hung it out, but he never came back. He must have been sent as a scout for the rest of his friends waiting on him, so they know if they should head this way yet.  Yesterday was our first warm day I guess. It went to around 74. I took all of my seedlings outside all day yesterday. They’re all potted in 1 gal pots already and plan on flipping them real early for some quick smoke.

I have a bunch of volunteers coming up all over. They started about 2-3 weeks ago and survived all of those freezing nights. They’re all still the same size, small. But, I love how they come up and seem bomb proof.

I met a guy here that said that’s how he plants his outdoor stuff. He puts seeds out in March when it’s still winter. These dropped off of plants last fall. I may start trying that. I don’t think a single one has died. Nature knows her timing very well.

Hey, do you get sweet peas from seeds? I could send some if they would help. They grow naturally here, I think. They’re everywhere. I could go check mine to see if there are any. The one got much bigger last year and the dead bush is still there.

I do plant them from seed. Funny this is the first year only a volunteer came up though.

Okay, so it is definitely triplets! The other love fire came up and died and the third never came up. Hopefully I get a chance to pop a few more today. Not sure I’ll be able to separate triplets successfully. It’s Sunday, so Dad’s coming over to hang out.

I got a few new plants yesterday. Hoping to plant them too

Can you hear the Long Beach GP from your place? I saw it on the tv & noticed the course seemed to go past a hotel & I thought damn that would suck…

No. I’m like 10 miles away. It’s super loud though. Dad has season tickets. I always wear earplugs when I go. Dad totally forgot it was today. Crap. Missed it.

I like that bottom succulent. Am I seeing trap leaves? Like some sort of Venus fly trap only different ? Watching the vid now.

It’s called a Delosperma. Just a cool looking succulent. I don’t think it traps anything, but it does kinda look like it has little jaws and teeth lol

I have a few different varieties of the tall one in 2nd pic. They are called Stapelias. The funky part about all of them is they get weird flowers that look like alien pods. The new one above gets black flowers. If I recall it’s called Black Dragon or something of that nature. I probably have like 5 now and I can’t remember what color the flowers are on each of them anymore. We’ll all have to wait patiently for my weird alien pod flowers. lol

Daaamnn… That’s alien alright. It looks like it may be fun if you were tripping. It looks like an endless tunnel.

Hey, my Apricot trees started blooming yesterday. Just in time for the weather to go below freezing again. It freezes the blooms more years than not. :pensive:
