Meigs Co. Gold f2 / Lemon G Bx

Hey, Overgrow!:metal::notes::guitar:

If we have not met yet, my name is Strungthru, and I love Ohio Heirlooms!

I am starting my grow diary for my upcoming grow of:

Meigs County Gold F2 from Copa

X

Lemon G Bx from Equilibrium

This will be a seed run to create:

Meigs County Gold F3

&

Lemon Gold

I will be starting with 5 of each variety, meigs county gold in the black pots, and lemon g bx in the tan pots

I will be weeding them down to 3 plants. A male and female MCG f2, and the nices female Lemon G Bx i find out of the 5!

Join me as I venture down the path of breeding two of Ohio’s legendary strains! :metal::notes::partying_face:

Eventually, I will be starting my breeding projects fully, and release my projects under:

Fresh Strings Genetics is a blend of all my worlds into one, my repair and luthier work, my love of growing, and my handle, Strungthru.

These are the adverts i have for this grow!

Nothing will be sold until i get fully authorized by @LemonadeJoe , but I am excited to start this process!!:metal::notes::guitar:

@Strungthru Congratulations Brother :raised_hands:t5: Fresh Strings sounds nice :fire::fire::fire: I wanted to get into luthiery myself and make classical guitars mostly! How cool man :+1:t5: I strum a little guitar too!

Thank you @GanjaRasta4life ! :metal:

Luthiery is an addictive thing! Once you start diving down that rabbit hole you will be looking at random boards like “damn that would make a pretty top!”

I build electric guitars and basses, but i have always wanted to take my hand in acoustic making! Its a little different then the solid body work i do, where you would need a way of bending the wood to form the shape of the instrument. StewMac offers a wide range of tools if you are ever interested in taking a crack at it!:metal::partying_face::notes::guitar:

I would also like to thank Farmer Freeman for sex tests I will use on the Meigs County Gold side of the grow, as i have plenty of the Lemon G Bx seeds!

Farmer Freeman offers a varitey of tests on their website if you are not familar with them!

This is not a paid advert, just a shoutout because i love their early sex test kit! You can test a seedling in as little as 7 days! Just mail off the samples to them and they will email you results!:metal::metal::partying_face::notes::guitar:

Hi @Strungthru , having run out of likes on your last grow journal was very much one I enjoyed. I’ll get reserved seating with a big
bag of popcorn. I just set this thread on my watch list. Thanks for all you do here, including sharing your incredible luthier skills.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand notes.

@Strungthru I already know luthiery can be addictive, especially with my addictive tendencies  Oh I can totally see seeing random boards and thinking it’ll work!

Electric & Basses are awesome! Seeing how I strum, I’m a big fan of guitars! Which manufacturers / body styles do you create?

Yes, I’m familiar with StewMac. They do have some great stuff fo sho! :+1:t5::fire::fire::fire::guitar::notes::notes:

@GanjaRasta4life in my time doing this i have made several strat and super strat shapes( ibanez, kiesel), as well as some tele and les paul shapes, and a few fender and musicman bass shapes. I custom cut body shapes for people aswell that are out of the ordinary. Like this one for example.

This is my favorite guitar i have made so far as a personal instrument!:metal:

That green one is one piece sapele back, with a bookmatched flame maple cap! The neck is 5 piece maple mahogany, with a three piece mahogany/maple/macassor ebony fingerboard!
The side of the neck has looks like it has an accent stripe down below the fingerboard doing this!

I covered the pickups with cocabolo covers and pickup rings! Nitrocellulose lacquor finish!

@matos420 this is my current project! :metal::partying_face::guitar::notes:

All 10 of them have broke soil! Within 3-5 days is a great germ rate, for me atleast! We are setting at day 4!

These Lemon G Bx sprouts are vigorous!

This was the first one to pop of all 10, a Lemon G Bx.
