Yeah dude. Whatever people can do to get over the fact a lot of people have to have a clandestine approach to growing. Autos certainly help in that department.

R/MephHeads subreddit has quite a few people showing their progress on the canna cheese. I get my Toof Decay and CDLC seeds tomorrow. I am so stoked.

I bought some Canna-Cheese direct from Mephisto during their 4/20 sale. While I didn’t run it myself, I gave a seed to my buddy who recently brought me a cured sample and DAMN, it’s some mighty fine herb! He claims it’s the best smoke he’s ever grown, and I think he’s right. It has a nice head high, but is so relaxing for the body. I need to pop one of those seeds soon.

I have only found one other grow report so far, and they said pretty much the same thing.

Is it cheesy at all? The cheese leaners are my favorite of everything I’ve had from them. I picked up a couple packs of the NCH but the last two beans I’ve popped have been NL leaners and no cheese. Been almost 2 years since I’ve had a cheese pheno

If you have terps before harvest and it smells like hay after…it’s you’re curing technique causing the issue…The Double Grape was awesome

Now that I’m hooked by the Autoflower bug, I’m digging through Mephisto’s strains. Planning to order some new ones this weekend, after the store re-opens.

Never been an issue with photos dude. So I respectfully disagree.
Ive been getting a little annoyed with Tree Stars. Its been a full week since I placed the order. I sent in my payment confirmation 5 minutes after I placed the order. It took them 2 days to acknowledge the payment and confirm the order. Then they sent me a shipping notice on the 18th that said it had shipped on the 19th. Note the past tense. That was last Saturday. The package has still not made it to the post office as of Wed.
I suppose Im spoiled by Amazon, but still…
Then this morning I noticed where the package is coming from - Stocton, Ca. So I decided maybe I should cut them some slack. They have been dealing with a pandemic AND apocalyptic fires practically in their back yards.
Plus, they are probably stoners and most likely on the laid back, casual side of getting things done. LOL

Must be the strains you’ve grown…
I’m not here to throw mud, or question your techniques…but to suggest that all Autos have no terpenes is nonsense…

Yeah all the Meph seeds I and friends have grown have been dank and terps for days after dried. Hell, all the auto’s(Nirvana/dutchpassion/meph/some others) my buddy has grown for the last 5 years have been dank and smelled great. He literally stopped growing photos because the auto’s were that good and easy to grow for him. If they all come out like hay no one would grow them.

I hear you. I haven’t suggested “all autos have no terpenes”. That’s your interpretation. Not sure why you’re saying that I have. No where in the thread have I posited that. I’m not throwing mud at autos. I like them and have been complimentary of them. I think they are an excellent stop gap for people who can’t grow all year round for short seasons or at all because they’re afraid to have monster plants around their property or whatever. I’m not sure why you’ve interpreted that I am saying they all have no terps. You mentioned terpenes, not me. I’m saying the majority that I have grown from Mephistos, Sweet Seeds, Barneys, Dinafem, Seven Dwarfs, just the ones I recall off the top of my head, have to some degree some hay taste to them. The Mephistos I rated more highly than the others and I think they’re further down the line in terms of good quality product. The Samsquanch OG had a great sweet berry gas bouquet but also had what I would describe as hay or dried teabag in there as well. Much less so than the others.
I think a lot of people that have started growing with autos have an affinity for them and perhaps they feel I’m trashing them. I absolutely am not. But in my opinion, and it’s just an opinion, is that they are not on the same level as photos in depth of taste or high.
So to sum up this essay I feel I have had to write because you seem to have misinterpreted what I’ve said - to suggest all autos have no terpenes is nonsense.
I was pleased to have them even though they were not to my taste and I ended up giving most of them away to older folk and retirees, which was nice because it didn’t get them too boxed.

I have a double grape going. It’s super resinous. Im on day 75 and it looks like two more weeks. @Mr.Sparkle is right, for me an auto needs to be fast or I might as well grow photo. Outdoors the longer autos make sense. I’m looking to order their fastest ones. They definitely are some great seeds. Between my friend and I we are around 20/20 on germination. He grew out five double grapes at once and they were all pretty similar phenowise.

me wrong.
I brought up terpenes, because you said that most of the Autos you’ve tried had a “hay” taste…Typically, the hay/grass taste comes from an improper cure…I’ve had it with
both photos and autos when I’ve mucked up or rushed my cure.
Having grown a number of Mephistos strains, I
have been impressed with the Smells and Tastes of theIr strains…
I see no conflict here…just a decent discussion sharing our experiences…

My order has actually been shipped! I sent them a polite email asking if there was a problem with the order, and the next day USPS said they got the package and its on the way. Will be here Monday

I forgot about yesterday’s US sale until 18 minutes after it started. The site was performing terribly - every page had to be refreshed - and they were sold out of the Sour Crack I wanted, but I was able to score another pack of CannaCheese.
