Micro Octopot Grow

yellowing on the edges of the lead in the cage, heat stress, and I would increase circulation a fan would help them

Ya you know from the research I’ve done I was thinking it looked like heat stress too… but my temps have not ever gone above 80, and I even just bought an IR gun to measure leaf temps. Leaf temps were lower like 73 if I remember correctly. In fact I actually had to put in a small space heater on a thermostat to get my temps where I wanted them. Without the heater my temps were low like 68-70 with my four inch exhaust fan set to 2! Unfortunately I live above my landlord and have no control over the thermostat. So ya air circulation has been lower than I’d like in order to keep my temp around 77

Or just add a small oscillating fan aimed directly at the plant

While doing so, you also teach lot of poor souls who learns passively here , like me brother… :wink: :green_heart::green_heart::green_heart:

Here are my two sour stompers at day 25 from sprout. Curious what ppm you all would be feeding your plants at this stage?

Your plants look great @420Ghost!

I measure EC rather than PPM, but I think they convert like this:

Veg Stages: 1.2 - 1.5 EC == 600 - 750 ppm

Flower Stages: 1.6 - 2.4 EC == 800 - 1200 ppm

I adjust the pH of all batches to ~ 5.8-6.0 and correct it when it hits 6.5.

Hope that helps,

@GrouchyOldMan Thank you!

I have been feeding around 650, but I’m pretty certain that they both have nitrogen toxicity. I guess I should have switched to flower nutrients earlier. I also used a pre ammended coco based media which probably didn’t help much. I wish I would have gone with something without any amendments. Oh well lessons learned.

EC to ppm depends

I also use EC

Ok so I’m at 1.3 EC

If your using one of those brands of PPM meter. There is more than one PPM scale. My meter does EC and PPM
I prefer EC

Ya mine measure μS/cm and I just took a reading in that mode and it was 1300

There you go. :+1:

Any thoughts on what’s going on with that plant? Do you think I’m right in thinking it’s N toxicity?

I don’t like to diagnose peoples plants from pics. But I will say its possible. They are fairly dark green and I see burnt tips.

Right, that’s 1.3 in the “normal” nute range mS/cm I think.

I typically get leaf burn at any PPM over 600, so around 450-500 for my Double Grape @ week 5.

Ok thanks. I will back off on the nutes. I hope I haven’t caused too much harm. I’ve got high hopes for these plants

Just back the ppm down by 50-75 and see how she responds and keep doing that till she’s back to normal. Every resource I’ve read says autoflowers like lighter feedings than photoperiods so I’d be doing feedings at 1/2 str or lower.

This post has been incredibly helpful, so much thanks to everyone who has posted! Here’s my Fog Dog from Atlas Seeds at 18 days (ok 19, I miscounted), my very first grow. Temps have been high and humidity low, but I just have to live with it this run. The light is a Spider Farmer SF1000 and I started feeding Super Crop 1 part a couple of days ago at .25 tsp/gallon of RO water. Can for scale.

Lookin good!

Keep a close eye on pH and nutes and you should have a great outcome. Octos Rawk!

Best of luck,
