MMS 2024 Outdoor Grow Show

Hey OG’ers, glad to be back after all this time. Haven’t done a grow journal in years, but now that Overgrow is back I’m inspired. This will be an outdoor journal containing 150 cannabis plants grown in Jamaica, when all is finished. Currently have 55 seedlings and 8 plants in flower. Still got a lot more work to do to reach my goal of 150, so stick around for the ride. It’s going to be a long but rewarding process. I use all organics, have an abundance of cow and goat dung. Plus I compost veggies, etc. This is currently a rooftop grow but by the end I’ll have other locations going as well. This is all bagseed from various sources here in Jamaica. Well enjoy the show and all comments, recommendations are welcome.

That’s awesome! lol

I bet it was fun getting all that soil up there. How are you getting water up there? Long ass hose? lol

Looking forward to seeing how this rooftop does!

Ah now, I still see plenty of unoccupied roof. Though, I suppose you will need room to walk around once they’re trees.

What are the flowering ones?

What cultivars will you be running this grow?

Yeah, loads of fun  I have a barrel up there that collects rainwater and when it doesn’t fill fast enough I just fill it manually.

See that blue barrel by the entrance, that’s the water and I have two more just like it outfront that are also filled with rainwater. I’ll transport water from those in buckets to fill the roof one when needed.

Trust me if it was just me here I’d have a completely different and better setup than this but since I’m not I can’t go too overboard. Although I already have but don’t care, I’ve had to change my setup twice already because of that other person complaining. This is my final setup for now, which is why the rest will be going in two other guerilla locations away from here. I’m not doing anymore changing, they’re gonna have to deal with this setup as is. As for what are the flowering ones, I honestly couldn’t tell you. I grow all bagseed. One was a purple Tangie that a friend gave me from his stuff but I smoked that one already. I do have some seeds from that Purple Tangie I’m saving for later, those seeds came from what I grew.
Here are the pics of that one:

This the Purp Tangie male that impregnated my lady:

as you can see in this earlier pic of them, the male was the biggest upfront and the two small ones were the Tangie women.

The remaining pics of my garden, got a lemon tree going, some tomatoes, peppers, aloe, cacti, tobacco, etc. Last pics are of my compost pile, cow and goat dung mixed with sea weed and some other goodies. That’s going to be awesome stuff once ready. I know it’s not weed but it’s still apart of my outdoor garden, probably won’t show anymore pics of these anyway. Just showing my setup so everyone can get familiar.

Now when it’s time to move all this compost to the roof and my other locations, that’s when the real work going to come in. Although it was work collecting all that cow and goat dung from the fields across the way. I’m just grateful for all the rain we been getting lately.

I know I appreciate all garden/outdoor pictures so please keep them coming. Many here grow vegetables and what not and share cool photos. Happy grows!!

Okay, I sure will…

Some samples I had drying for a few days now and a tobacco leaf that still has months left of drying and curing to do. It’s my first time doing that with tobacco, so I’m hoping I get it right. I want to start growing tobacco in abundance also.

Also keep water in these upfront. It’s about time for me to refill the one on top. Today I got one of my guerilla locations ready. Mosquitoes and ants were tearing me up, so didn’t have a chance to take pics. Was in too much of rush to get out of there and stop itching :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Will have to spray down first next time I head out and while looking for my 2nd guerilla location.

Just realized I have a slight aphid infestation on 2-3 of my bigger flowering plants. Already sprayed with a vinegar, soap, garlic solution. They weren’t completely cleared, wanted something more potent or that will remove them all (and their friends mites, ants, etc).

The 3 biggest in this pic, especially the tall one by itself are infected.

I wish I had neem, peppermint or rosemary oil to make a better natural pesticide but all I have is those two (Eucalyptus and Cinnamon oil). Has anyone here used either of those before? I’m just wondering if it’ll be safe to smoke after harvest (I was planning on washing the buds in water before drying, if that would help clean them). Or if someone knows another natural homemade pesticide that’ll get rid of those aphids and hopefully ants too. I’m all ears :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks for any and all help.

I don’t have the answer to your question (others will hopefully), but wanted to say your place looks so much fun. Looking forward to your adventures.

Thanks for your reply, I’m hoping so. Holding off on the essential oils until I get an acceptable answer. Just gave them another spray of the soap, vegetable oil, garlic solution.

Wanted to do an update on my progress, I luv my outdoor but it’s a slow journey. I see why so many of you do indoors, I’m highly considering adding an indoor setup when I’m able. Here are pics I took this morning on my daily checkup. I still haven’t gone back to my two guerilla locations to see if any seeds I put in the ground have sprouted yet. I’ll probably do that early tomorrow morning. As always all observations and critiques are welcome…
Enjoy the show!

Sorry my Samsung Galaxy doesn’t take the greatest pictures, especially when the sun is shining in certain directions. I was considering FIM’ing a few of my larger plants in a few days.

*Just FIM’ed 4 of the larger plants, will update pics in a few days once they take.
Happy growing OG’ers!

Since I found Overgrow late, I forgot I had took pics of my beans germinating. Figured I might as well post them until I can get some updated pics of the garden.

Well decided on taking a few pics after FIM’ing a few days ago. The few that I did are doing alright. I’ll take close-ups of it once they’re more pronounced. This is going to be a long season  which is why I grow so much at once. It takes so long between harvests outdoors. Well with my new location I want to try getting a perpetual outdoor harvest going. Still need a few more supplies like perlite but I’m working it out as I go. Too bad Amazon doesn’t ship perlite to Jamaica smh. The one place I did see wanted over $45 for shipping 5lbs of perlite (doesn’t make sense, even if I had the money to waste).

Either way here are the pics. Enjoy!

Hella good start for the season. Man I envy the space ya have to grow. This should be fun to watch.
