I have read the descriptions on some strains that they do advise to veg for at least two months. I can’t remember the name of the seed company. But he also asked to feed organically.

I grew in a crawlspace for 10 years before I got a Med card and blew up the garage. Yup…clones. Yup…small. Yup…lots of them. Had to finish 'em less than 18" or things started to combust. Not optimal but still profitable at the time. Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. 
On the flipside…I always felt sorry for the guys just getting started who had the notion that pot plants HAVE TO BE tall…and they’d let em lank out/grow to 6 ft under far too little light with a foot between nodes. Double cringe when they’d then get out the measuring tape to show how big they truly were… Heehee

I’ve had mother plants no more than 18"-24" that were 4,5-7yrs old.(Bonsai) It isn’t how tall a plant is, but ‘how old’ that matters… I’d flip the old mothers after they got too old and get one last service from em. lol
I’ve always let my plants veg for at least 3-4months. But I’ve never had a height restriction in my grow rooms either, usually 8’ at least. I just top em.

Nope, no idea whatsoever about this, brother. I know it sometimes happens, but ‘almost always’? That’s a new one to me, lol Why not try giving it time to see if it doesn’t shed on it’s own, instead of being impatient?!

Why? lol I grew/smoked/sold as an outlaw for decades before getting legit… always just took over a room or two in the house wherever we lived. But we always bought, not rented…

I grew in the crawlspace because I didn’t have an extra room to use. My kids were just wee ones at the time and I kept it all hidden from them for well over 10 years until they hit their teen years and I got a med card. They found out about the card when we got pulled over with them in the car on a family vacation and my truck was searched…and that’s how it all came out…LOL.

@Stiickygreen I understand brother. I was growing full steam ahead when all of our sons were born. They grew up around Ganja same as I did, lol Hard to hide it, when it’s all up in their face. They just grew up knowing not to discuss/talk about it to anyone. Good sons.

My daughter’s were both pissed I wouldn’t give them weed as teenagers. Not til they turned 18. They got over that by poaching out of mine. There was so much around I never noticed.

My kids finally said “we smelled it and knew”…so we weren’t truly hiding it…we just weren’t blazing in front of them. Once it all came out…my oldest was about 16 or so…youngest 13. Our house became the “cool” house cus I told my boys I was wise to all of the games…and that I was FORCED to be in cars/woods/clandestine places to get high…and many times that put us in severe jeopardy. KNOWING they would do it anyway…somewhere else…made us say “blaze all you want…but you can’t leave the house”. When their friends would pack the room we’d take car keys. “If yer here getting stoned yer here for the evening”. We’d let em bake…then we’d go in with a big tray of munchies to bring em all down…LOL
After my oldest passed and we had his Celebration of Life…multiple parents came up to me and thanked me/said they knew what was going on/that their kids eventually told them what was up and how we never let them leave high… No regrets here…

2 of my 3 encounters with LEO were directly tied to “kids”. LOL.
But I was lucky…and smrt and got through with a few tickets and a couple of home visits that went nowhere thanks to the good old Med cards. One of the events was when my oldest’s GF’s younger brother and his buddies decided to rip off my little backyard greenhouse. The same kids then got busted at school for having Percodans…but in the process of talking to the cops…one of them said “I though this was about pot and Mr. ________'s greenhouse”…
and 10 mins later I was getting a call from another parent I didn’t know who said “I dunno what you have going on…but the cops are on their way to your house…” The med cards thwarted their attempts to get a warrant…and I knew they couldn’t look around w/o it…so I let em in and we talked about “pot” for a couple hours. Then there was a knock at the door…and standing there was an officer with a ziplock full of green buds they’d taken. They gave it back…LOL…and it was all steaming and shit so I yanked it out of the bag and started trimming it right in front of them. The lead cop was amazed and said “Wow…it went from THAT to looking like what we see in bags everyday? I had no idea” LOL.
