I’m not mistaken then about that plant being male. Just wanted to make absolutely sure before feeding him to the goats.

Lmao!! The bad thing is… i germinated them all… didnt have room for em all… so i chose the seedlings to move forward with… then proceeded to keep males and clearly throw females away… no way they were all males. That was like 18 beans total or something like that…
So the garbage man grew my females and i got males

I have a little bad new and some great news…
Bad news is; I may not be on the forum as much as I normally am.
The good news is; my granddaughter called and asked if I would co-write a novel with her. I’ve been praying for something that we could do together to build some good memories. Since she and my daughter moved away my granddaughter has not really made an effort to stay in touch. For seven years we haven’t had much interaction.
She’s reaching out and that takes precedence over the forum.
We’re brainstorming idea’s right now so in a week or so we should be starting the process of outlining the storyline.
I’ll be around but not like usual.
This is a great thing for me and mine.

I know! I’m happy as I can be about it. If you have ever tried to put together a novel worth reading you know there’s a crap ton involved in doing it right. I’m up for it but it’s going to be time consuming.

My granddaughter Nora was 15 yesterday. Party today. Picture after. I just finished reading “The Outsiders”, S. E. Hinton. Can’t believe I’ve never read it. Great read! Nora recommended it, and wants to discuss it now! I bet your g-daughter has read it. It’s short, less than 200 pages. Might be a starting point for some dialogue?
My health issues, back mainly, interfere with my relationships with my family. That’s the only reason I do a lot of what I do. Family. I wasn’t neglected, but never got what I needed, when I needed it. Edit here. What I thought I needed and what I actually needed were not always the same.
If growing interfered with anything, I’d have it off the property. But it doesn’t. Growing provides me and the Missus various meds. It has benefited me mentally even more. Gets me moving when I often would not otherwise.
I have some relationships with some of you that are equally important to me. Like @Mattman is fond of saying. “You matter. Every one of you.” Thanks for that reminder buddy. Some relationships here are pretty superficial, no harm there. Lot of “entertainment value” on occasion. Some surprised me how important they became, and how quickly. I’ve been disappointed with some people, but not many. I can be flakey, not doing what I say in a timely manner. I’ll get there. Or “it” will get there. Maybe even before surgery.
Didn’t mean to be so long winded @MoBilly , not even sure I said good morning. If you are anything like me and several others here, we could spend way less time here on Overgrow, yet still accomplish what’s necessary. Be more efficient about time management.
You KNOW how I love hearing that about you and the kid. I’ve got six, from just turned Three, to Fifteen yesterday. Regardless of the outcome of the plans we make, what we want to do…often those things don’t materialize, or not in the way we thought. The older they get, they more they understand how important just our intentions are. “In a perfect world
