Roll the dice………

I have a lean to that I could move her under. It opens to the SW… She’d definitely get enough light to see her through to the finish…

I say that, but if the weather isn’t gonna co-operate then you take a chance. Like brother OJ said, roll the dice.

Don’t put it under a tent. Stops airflow and blocks sun. You are asking for mold……

That’s just one of the vagaries that plague OD grows

I said ‘cover it’ but that’s only for at night!

The lean to is up against the house. It would be very easy to put a floor fan in there… It would only get half the light it’s getting right now though. So, like you said, there’s that to consider.

IF you can give it protection and also keep airflow up to avoid mold/budrot. The lean-to would be best. close it up with a tarp at night to help protect it from the lower temps. or even put a small space heater in

At this point, it’s gonna finish without full light all day, in just a couple of weeks. The thing now is to protect it while it does finish.

I think I’ll roll the dice like OJ said. I’ll bring it in with the tractor to the lean to. and I’ll turn that thing into a greenhouse for a week or so. It’ll be right up against the house so I can keep an eye out for any sign of rot… I already have electric out there for a drop light. No problem running a fan or even a small space heater.
Heck yeah. Thanks for the advice brothers.

Personally I would be afraid to put a heater in a lean to or a place where it could short or get knocked over if it is that close to your house. That plant to me wouldn’t be worth the risk…,… but that’s just my thinking.

But if it’s closed up at night, the heater might be needed. Especially if the temps aren’t gonna get to cold. It will be protected by the tarp. I’ve use small space heaters in sheds to finish plants, but I had it secure where I didn’t have to worry about tipping, etc
All heaters come with tip-shut offs nowadays, don’t they

When I built that lean to to keep our feed bin in, I built it right against the house where my outside outlet is. It’ll be fine with a small heater in there. I’ll fix it where nothing can get against it or knock it over. It has one of those kill switches if it isn’t setting flat anyway.

No they don’t brother………

China don’t give a rats ass about our laws. lol
They still sell those that don’t have the shutoffs.

Just checked, brother OJ you’re right. Not all have tip shut off, but brother Mo, if the one you’re talking about using does, then you should be fine using it.

We have several. Eva didn’t buy any without the safety switch.

We have space heaters throughout this place, as you know. All have tip shut off feature.
