I think imma fire up the microgrow for spring and drop a mountain temple and satori and hopefully cross the two.
Small update. Having a bit of trouble germinating the satori seed. However the mountain temple is cracked and has been transplanted into it’s hempy bucket.
Still no luck on the satori for germination. I got these in a trade, so a bit bummed the seeds seem non viable (no idea how they were stored before they got to me.)
However I did manage to crack a 2010 Beyond the Brain so that will be added to this run in addition to the mountain temple.
Also cracked one of my chocolate Buddha’s I made around 1.5 years ago. But will give the satori’s and raspberry truffle a few more days before I do final planting.
So far it looks like
Bodhi’s Mountain Temple
Mandala Seeds Beyond the Brain
If these are male/female will cross em. Thinking about naming the Cross Temple of Enlightenment
i remember running some beyond the brain when it first came out, its been awhile.
I am hoping to get a good cross out of it or some good bud regardless. I think it’ll be cool. Although fingers crossed the rhaspberry truffle cracks for me too.
Small update: Raspberry Truffle reproduction by @santero cracked and placed into rooting plug.
Hi Moka… I finally remembered to put your thread on watch. Good stuff bud!
And 18 days later we are rocking along!
Bottom right is the mountain temple that was pinched at the second node. Given it’s furious growth I am assuming it’s hit the reservoir in the hempy bucket. The beyond the brain has very purple stems and undersides of it’s leaves. Seems like it wants to hard stretch, which I’ve been trying to keep at bay with the light being so close and pinching the second node.
Raspberry truffle loving life at this point.
Looks like they’re off to a great start @Moka
My wife brought me a fresh coffee the same time I clicked on your thread too haha, righteous!
What are the temps in your tent if you dont mind me asking? Some very nice colour there already!
Temps are anywhere from 80F to 75f with lights on. Lights off it drops to around 67F
Bet it feels great to be back at it!! Looking great!
It’s crazy how much growth is here six days later. The beyond the brain absolutely refuses to be trained. I have tried topping/fimming and am about to use some wire to pull it down.
Some slight skunky smells from the tent starting to form also
to early to really train them, i usually only doing anything once there inn stretch mode, otherwise just leaf tucking
I’m in luck.
Got a female mountain temple
Got a female beyond the brain
Got a male Raspberry Truffle
Was giving the internodes a close inspection today when flushing all the buckets.
First pic is the beyond the brain
Second is the mountain temple
Third is the rhaspberry truffle

"Both phenos smelled amazing: sweet cherries/rhaspberries and were
done after about 8w (#2) and 9w (#3). they did not need much nutes or
special attention, typical for lines made by eskobar = easy growing.
Effects are creative, heady, social, positive, sensual … no jittery feelings,
no nervousness. the SM-softens the CR-edginess (real CR makes me jittery)
and brings in a warm happy feeling to the amphetamine-like CR effect."

Mountain Temple is a big yielding haze/chem family hybrid, using the proven male of Appalachia: h&l’s hybrid of green crack and jj’s tres dawg wed to the totem pole haze temple mother cut, this one hits it home for the lover of electric sativa effects with dense full resinous buds in a shorter maturation window, aromas and flavors of spicy citron and hazy melon with a funky chemdawg bottom end and floral high notes of the Williams Wonder, energizing and powerful with a light push of body enhancement. This hybrid is very similar to Silver Mountain, except this one will lean a little more to the indica side and be a bigger quicker faster yielder."

Beyond the Brain is a rare sativa dominant hybrid (80% sativa/20% indica) strain created through crossing the classic Colombian Sativa X Haze X Satori strains. This bud was a limited edition creation in 2010 from the infamous Mandala Seeds and is pretty tough to find on the market these days. Nonetheless, this bud is sought after for its brain bending effects and eye opening visions that truly can expand your mind. You’ll feel an almost immediate onset of a lifted clear-headed high just a few minutes after your first toke. This will leave you alert and focused as your mind starts to wander and focus on the tiny details of things. As your thought expands, you’ll find yourself experiencing deep philosophical visions and engaging in conversations with those around you.

So my plan with these strains now that I have a semi-solid handle on the gender
Cross #1: Mountain Temple x Rhaspberry Truffle
Hoping this cross keeps the density and uplifting head high while keeping the flower time around the same. 8-10 weeks on most is what I am predicting. I know Bodhi likes to use his temple crosses as “party weed” and I am hoping that this effect carries through as well.
Cross #2: Beyond the Brain x Rhaspberry Truffle
Not terribly sure how this one is going to end up. Hopefully the RT pushes the easy nutrient management into the offspring while allowing the beyond the brain longer flower time and landrace roots to show through. Would love for this one to be more psychedelic and somewhat trippy in effect and for that to continue in the seeds. Hoping that the raspberry truffle doesn’t dominate the offspring.
Also totally open to name suggestions
