Moka's caffeinated chronicles

Music to my ears. I love seeing people succeed more than anything.

Glad it worked out well for ya, now that they’re jamming they’ll probably outgrow those in 3-4 weeks.

Definitely following along.

That are growing quite rapidly now. Thankfully the lollipurps bounced back and is doing better!

Update! Trimmed some lowe fan leaves to expose more sites a few days ago. They bounced back big time!

Current feeding is the “aggressive veg” option on the general hydroponics series. And also flushing both buckets once a week to help prevent pH swings

Another update! The plants are doing excellent currently. Wondering when to flip? Thinking in a week with the idea that I don’t want to be too crowded out during flower.

Looking great :+1:

Thanks! I am just concerned about potential height restrictions. I am growing in a 2 x 2 x 4 grow tent, so I was thinking about letting them branch out a bit longer for a week before switching to flower to control the stretch. Although looking at the plants with their large leaves, they may not stretch too much. They both definitely look more indica leaning to me.

I do lol I’ll smash up some granular Humic acid to a dust and add it to my water and some other dry amendments

Interesting… Do the microbes care? Does it show any growth difference vs dry amendments only?

I feel like they like it, that’s why I do it lol but I’m not doing any controlled tests or anything…

Have you noticed anything in regards to how long each topping lasts? Example: when I add admenents im good for 3 weeks, have you experienced anything in difference.?

Well, gotta start fresh. Both plants are male. Quick question though if I harvest some pollen how do I maintain viability? And how long is pollen stable?

Depends on how well you dry it. I’ve kept it good for about 9 months without freezing it in a dry box.

How do you dry your pollen @lefthandseeds ? Do you still keep it refrigerated ?

I always say the most important thing is to get your pollen really dry. I used to use a sterilite gasket tote from Target with a $15 “closet dehumidifier” to dry it out below 15%. Usually you can just store it in one of those for like 6 months. Now I’m using a dessicator from lab surplus, which has a really air tight seal. And I’m just using bulk silica beads from amazon.

If you’re going to put it in the fridge, go straight to the freezer. You want to freeze out any water vapor, and the fridge will only condense it, which could be worse.

I too am pretty excited about that one. I got it from a breeder out in Oregon. Apparently it’s supposed to be a soaring sativa high with complex terpene profile
