Honey as a clone root grower? Corn syrup for what!?
Never used corn syrup, but the honey idea has been around for ages now, I believe it was Prawn Connery that posted that up many years ago now.
The 3 little birds, on the original OG posted a fine tutorial about molasses.
I found their amounts to be way to large for my indoor set up.
However after all of these years I still add some molasses during the grow.
I used to use Bembe until I realized it’s just unsulphered molasses and potassium sulfate. I add .5 teaspoon per gallon of molasses the last half of flowering.
I have seen this guys videos before. Pretty good.
I’ve heard honey and molasses for food. Didn’t know about honey as a rooting stimulant or any thing about corn syrup. Hell I figured since corn syrup is bad for us it would be bad for plants.![]()
i fucking love corn syrup
Thats funny. Most of us love it too. Wouldn’t add it to plants though.
Molasses and KNF ferments a few times a cycle. Plants produce sugars.
Apparently, Mexican Coke is the same as regular Coke because the sucrose in cane sugar breaks down into glucose and fructose (just like corn syrup) when under pressure in an acidic solution."
Ill give you guys a little tip @ReikoX gave me awhile back.If your ever having a problem with using molasses creating a crunchy top layer on your Soil add the molasses to a Tea and have the microbes break it down in the Tea overnight and use the sugar as a fuel source.Tea thins out the mix and you dont get that crunchy soil thing going on and its more bio available for the plant in the long run
Great tip thanks!
I usually put molasses in water bottle warm water mix it up really good an add to ur gallon of water etc no crunchy soil either
I’ve heard honey too haven’t tried it yet but I might try some honey next run
Same here.
Heard of honey, aloe vera, and I even use unsulphured black strap molasses in my teas during flower…but corn syrup?
Yup, new one on me too! ![]()
if any one interested in a quality sweetener consider this :: FOOP (OrganicBioscience) it has Yacon syrup / sorghum syrup, muscovado syrup /raw agave nectar / coconut sugar / date syrup / blackstrap molasses and raw honey have used tjhs withy outstanding results - if you want a “sweet” taste use this the entire grow -THIS STUFF WORKS !!! it’s a bit expensive BUT worth every penny
Here I always use sugar cane molasses for flowering and teas, I activate EM1 with sugar cane molasses and I did it some time ago with maple syrup
and it worked, I managed to activate the microorganisms with the maple, here I always use it throughout the flowering cycle and I always found that it makes a good difference.
I’ve also used dextrose for years AKA corn sugar, works great and easy to mix. Molasses is awesome for iron, zinc, etc and cannabis loves Potassium mid to late bloom. It’s no wonder plants love molasses or jazzed up molasses products. I have also used cane sugar as well, like Steens, which also makes great pies and such. Now I want a slice of Pecan Pie. ![]()
I grew up on Steens. Good sugarcane syrup.
Smoking sugar is not a good idea since it becomes an antidepressivum when burnt. I don’t know if adding it to the soil causes the same effect as when sprinkling it on the tops, but i certainly would not want to take the risk of potentially contaminating my harvest.
microbes in the soil eat the sugars then expel them as useful plant food. I believe. Adding forms of sugar has been used in horticulture for some time.
