Mold resistant strains hawaii?

Aloha overgrow ohana any recommendations for mold resistant strains to grow in hawaii? And where to get them?. I’ve been purchasing beans all over the internet based on looks and not by my climate.(noobie mistake). With that being said. I have a pretty long list of beans that I have to trade if anyone is interested. Mahalo

RE: Dragon’s Flame Genetics

I’ve been running Dragon’s Hashplant F2 this season, it’s looking good but not ready yet. No evidence of any mold or rot ever on her, I’ve never even spotted a caterpillar on it.

I’ve also got some freebies he threw in; 2 packs of Love Stash and Tranquil Hashplant. I’d be happy to share, I’ve got 6 seeds of the Dragon’s Hashplant and full packs of the others. I’ll probably run Tranquil Hashplant or Love Stash next year based on this year’s experience, but I only need like 5 seeds max, don’t have the space for running 10 at a time

What sold me on him is his helpfullness, he answered my email about what would be best for the effects I was looking for and for my climate. Not many breeders did answer my out-of-the-blue, from a newb email asking for help picking seeds. He’s been right-on in terms of climate suitability. It’s a nice plant, wouldn’t hesitate to ask him and follow his guidance. I think he’s moving or just moved back to the PNW.

Here’s some pics from the last few weeks, more coverage on my grow thread.

There’s an oldtimer on the western slope out there who has been enjoying my work since 2017.

Aloha y’all ()

I wonder if this dragons flame cat is working with Bodhi’s DBHP or vice versa or parallel?

@Wuachuma - feel free to use me as a tester in the middle of Puna(da acres) :sunglasses:

I just started some Maui Jane beans(grape sherb fem, Royal oil aka Alii, skunkdawg BX v1 & v2, & am scheduled to get a skunk dawg cut soon from a local grower.

@Ronsonmatsuo4 - I brought all my gear from California but it was from all over.

I have about 100 goroka highland Papua New Guinea that may be the only thing that’ll run here…

Am waiting in the dr office atm… ttyl

@Wuachuma a buddy gifted me with some landraces I forget what kind I think it’s a Thai runt. I think I’m going to give those a try. I like the hype with the hybrids but I think landraces are more of a fit for me. Until I can save up for dome dragons flame.

I grow a Thailand cross a lot and it is not mold resistant. I live on the Great Lakes so I battle humidity.

Every year I get hit with powdery mildew. I now have some wild vietnamese landrace from 73. They almost seem like an autobud. I was ready to harvest them before my hybrids were even showing sex

So harvest on them comes before the powdery mildew even shows up… I live in the portland ,Oregon area.

I just moved back to the Great Lakes area.
Yeah, what a unique area.
I dont think I have to water for the rest of the season, lol.

Back in 2016 i did a PM/Mold project in PNW

I kept them in this hoophouse during the summer and early fall, until the rains started. Then I left them exposed outside.
All but one plant passed with flying colors so i trashed the seeds of the loser.
This is my PM/Mold resistant mix

Brilliant mate

What’s up my friend. I’ve been busy but managed to try popping some of those old beans. I went 0 for 12. Maybe the next batch will yield something. Did you get a chance to run the Thai?

@SativaKid cool

@oldhippy man that sounds like a cool strain lmk if you would like to trade beans I wouldn’t mind trying those
