Mom and 6 babies outdoor

Wish this were identifiable. No idea what the seed is from. The mother is the one outside the mosquito netting. The ones under the netting are her offspring. Mom had some serious LST and toping/fim’ing done to her while she put the weight on. The mom is a beast, but the clones are growing better. The babies had nothing done to them and are fuller and look like they will be much easier to trim.

Had Powdery Mildew, caterpillars, aphids and root gnats. Still dig out caterpillars daily and the powdery mildew seems to be managed. The caterpillars are messing up the buds with the dead matter they leave behind. Looks like bud rot.

Have a healthy clone indoor of this lady. Hoping for a good smoke and keeping her around awhile. Thanks for looking.

Ones under the netting are looking really greasy and about 20 times better then their mother. Their aroma is better, density is off the scale. It’s nearly impossible to dig in to find caterpillars.

Harvest date/time, guess is as good as mine. Keeping a watchful eye.

When i battle caterpillars i cut out the bad cola’s to keep botrytis from setting in. When i harvest i cut out the dead and damaged buds then rinse the whole stalk in a bucket of water to remove poop and dry as normal. My sympathies, it sucks when you have to watch a plant get eaten alive. You don’t want to smoke poop or the bacteria and fungus breeding in the warm, humid, poop rich environment. A quick rinse in water won’t hurt anything.

@ryasco thanks for the water tip. I’ve been cutting out the funky parts as well and tried some hydrogen peroxide in the mister a couple times as well as using BT and LAB with the sprayer. Garlic/habanero/ginger/soupspray maybe worked??? Molasses and water in the evenings, maybe deterred them for a minute? Mostly it’s just looking for bud that have the dead matter and digging in after them. Netting has helped the most. My wife’s help is great too.

I’m beyond happy with how they are turning out. It’s been forever since I grew, and when I did before, I’d hardly say I had a handle on growing, looking back… Aside from the normal outdoor issues, I got to learn a bunch these last few months. Either way I think the harvest should be very decent enough for me while the indoor getting underway.

Watched a vid with the popular old guy and he used hydrogen peroxide wash then blasted with a fan afterward so that’s the last resort.

One seed. Well, started with three. One didn’t pop, the other was male. ONE SEED.
Aside from the constant bombardment by the Almightly Mrs. Mother Nature (And, damn isn’t she beautiful) I couldn’t be happier.

This outdoor season has been a grand welcome back to growing. I’ve learned a ton, and have some pretty decent smoke to show for it. Happy MOFO here! Here’s what’s left and what is curing. One seed. :grinning:

She’s hammered, but finishing up. Got slammed last week and decided to leave her alone. Maybe this weekend finish it up before the mold and caterpillars finally finish her off. :bug::gun:

Hammered!!!

Tossing these into jars tonight.

Few Gallon jars getting some air. Everything got a loose trim, so there’s a bit a green, but not a bad thing.

And finally, this little girl is going into a pot for my first attempt at re-vegging a fully flowered plant indoors. Was successful with her other one, who’s almost ready to have clones taken (Another story). Just going to see what i can do.

That’s it. Close this mess and go read a real thread. Cheers!
