monocot is this possible?

could this be a monocot cannabis plant? is that possible? it just came up like this. noticed it today. could it live? thanks, hope you enjoy

Technically no, a cannabis plant can’t be a “true monocot” as eudicots and monocots diverged evolutionarily some 200 millions of years ago.

However I have had some mutant seeds where only one of the two cotyledons developed properly. :slightly_smiling_face:

From what I recall they grew out their true leaves okay.

Edit: It looks like in your case that the two cotyledons appear to be fused together. This is likely as a result of mitotic divisions when they were developing not resulting in two separate leaves, but instead they ended up fused at the leaf edge
