Mr. HAF´s Journal

Hey guys. I´m a brazillian grower. I’ve been growing for a while now—I started learning with my dad back in 2017. We used to grow outdoors, and there wasn’t a lot of information available at the time. But the plants thrived, and we actually got some pretty decent stuff.

Some records from that time:

It was all pretty old-school—big pots, worm castings, red brazillian soil, and whatever mix we thought might do some good lol. Eventually, we wanted to try an indoor setup, and I think around mid-2019, we decided to experiment with something in an old bathroom we had around here.

Back then, the most popular lights were still those purple ones.

But still, whenever something went wrong with the indoor setup—and it happened a lot due to the enviromental conditions —we’d just put the plants back in the sun, and they would recover like magic.

And we kept going like that for a while, until my dad passed away in 2021.

When that happened, I took a break from growing—it was something we really enjoyed doing together, you know.

I got back into it in 2023, this time with the goal of mastering indoor cultivation—to grow some top-tier medicine and make the old man proud.

Since then, I’ve been going fully organic.

I don’t have many pictures from back then, but here’s how the last cycle looked:

I work in one city and live in another, so I can only check on the girls on weekends. That’s why I rely a lot on automation.

For this last cycle, I ran four White Gorillas from BSF. Honestly, they were all pretty meh—nothing bad, nothing exceptional. Just good weed, but nothing special.

What I really liked was this strain called Sunset Paradise from Paradise Seeds. I popped four of them, and I liked every single one.

I’m already on the fourth generation of clones! The high is super nice, and the flavor is really intense. For me, the lavender, gas, and earthy notes came through strong, with a hint of pepper. It finishes in about 48 days here.

Got this Pop Star´s (Exotic Genetix) going on now.

Hey there @MrHAF :face_with_monocle::thinking: how’s it going my friend? All is well I hope God speed

Hey everyone! I’m back with an update. I plan to post more often now—I’d been away from the forum for a bit.

This plant was harvested, smoked, and is now completely gone, and I didn’t keep any clones—so it’s a proper goodbye. I’d definitely recommend this strain (Sunset Paradise) for its strong, unmistakable lavender aroma and flavor. I ran four seeds, and all of them showed that same lavender kick.

Here’s a photo of the harvest.

Moving right along, I wrapped up the cycle on the Pop Star (Exotic Genetics) and the Cerezaz (Black Tuna).

Here’s a look at how the grow went.

After that last shot, I harvested the Sunset Paradise and that same day transplanted the Pops and the Cerezaz into the flowering tent.

The Pops spent a longer time in veg, while the Cerezaz were a bit behind schedule.

Unfortunately, Cerezaz #2 turned hermaphrodite. Cut them off.

I harvested them at 66 days.
I’ll share some bud shots later—I only recorded video, and the OG doesn’t allow uploading that.

Here’s my rundown on the Cerezaz phenos:

Cerezaz #3 looks gorgeous and is absolutely frosted with trichomes, but the internode spacing is huge. This one really needs to be kept on a short leash.

Cerezaz #1 wins in my book. It’s dripping in terps, has a rock-solid structure with a sturdy main stem and hefty side branches, and the node spacing is just right. Yield wasn’t massive, but the quality and aroma make up for it.

Cerezaz #4 is equally beefy in structure, sturdy plant, nice branch thickness, but its scent is noticeably more subtle compared to the others.

Across all four plants, the terpene profile stayed consistent from start to finish, it had a really sweet, fruity aroma that reminds me of artificial cherry candy, like those gelatin cherry desserts.

The Pop Star plants shifted their terpene profiles dramatically over their lifespan.

Early on, they gave off a sharp, pungent aroma that morphed into a rich, creamy key lime pie scent. Then the lime faded entirely, leaving behind a raw dough note underscored by a heavy hashiness.

By late flower, that doughy facet softened on Pop Star 1 and was overtaken by something really specific: the sweet-fibrous smell of those little orange “mini coconut” snacks that wild birds love, an almost velvet-smooth aroma. On Pop Star 2, that “mini coconut” note is even more pronounced, while Pop Star 1 still carries a hint of the raw-dough scent alongside it.

In both, there’s a persistent secondary backdrop of pure hash.

There’s a lingering buttery diesel finish on the palate.
