Mr. PF’s First Run

Starting this log for my first indoor grow. I’m still in the middle of dialing in my setup so constructive criticism is allowed :joy:

These clones came from my outdoor grow in which I really didn’t know what I was doing but in someway shape or form I made it work. These are bag seed from a pack that was special to me during hard times of being young, dumb, and broke. I’m well aware that I may be wasting my time with poor genetics but like I said these seeds mean something to me.

I know there’s some things I might be forgetting to say so don’t hesitate to ask any questions or give advice.

I look forward to yall following me on my journey!

Let me start off by addressing the elephant in the room…HUMIDITY. I honestly don’t think I’m going to be looking very good in flower at all. I can’t keep my humidity below 68% without my exhaust fan running 24/7.

I honestly thought I would a need humidifier so I ordered one but now I’m well aware I wasted my money. Went ahead and took it out of the tent last night since I wasn’t using it anyway. No need for stagnate water when I already have an issue with humidity.

Picking up a environment meter today to start with the root of the problem, the lung room…which is not the greatest by no means.

Looks great! Some plants handle temps/humidity better than others.

Yup humidifier only necessary for the first month or so after that if theres a lot of plant mass you sort of need a dehumidifier.

Luckily they’re still in the early vegetative state and if my reading is correct they tend to use the humidity during early stages. Gives you time to figure it out or get a dehumidifier before flowering starts. Good luck it’s about having fun and learning along the way.

They seem to be doing well outside so I figured why not give them a shot. Eventually I’m going to be looking into tropical strains that will work well for my situation.

Resilient enough phenos, defloration and prevention in flowering spraying with something like subtilis bacillus is key.

Well at least I have one now just in case lol

I’m trying to make a dehumidifier my last resort as I really have the best power source.

Also forgot to mention this is a breeding run as well. Really a backup of my outdoor run just in case that breeding doesn’t go so well.

Dehu is like the most power hungry piece of gear.
I have come to terms with running mine non stop after veg.
I have a portable ac unit but i refuse to use it for the same reason.
If you go without just dont pack your space as much and defoliation becomes more important.

I’m scared of the power draw for sure. That’s why I’m troubleshooting the least cost effective things first.

Good luck with it and please show off some of your OD this season.

I feel like I’m gonna get criticized for showing those. You can definitely tell it’s my first grow out there for sure lol

Around here no one really grows. So I said why not leave the male outside :man_shrugging:

If I was in a populated area I wouldn’t let all that pollen out.

Update on the garden tonight…

Took some closer pictures of the four. You will see I had bug issues when I took the clones but that has since been taken care of.

Female #1 - with the signs of bug issues. The white dots are not crawling lol

Female #2 - Has some weird thing going on with the leaves. Deficiency?

Female #3

Male #1

I’m not sure of the names of these so it’s kind of a pheno hunt for me? Even though I’ve seen them outside it makes it kinda fun :man_shrugging:

Update. Got a temp/humidity meter for the lung room and it really isn’t as bad as I thought. I believe my issue is my airflow into the tent since I have no intake fan, just an exhaust. Other than that just a pretty chill Thursday for me, besides working for the overlord. TGIF tomorrow?

Lung Room Temp & Humidity

Figured I’d add my feast in here as well

Good ole Dominos and Everglades, ifykyk :eyes:

I used to worry myself sick about VPD when I started growing, but after a few grows you get a feel of what you can get away with. I only keep an eye on humidity in late flower and when theres a rh spike after lights out, in veg I tend not to worry too much, and like has been said dont pack out your tent with large indicas.
If you’re worried about power consumption run a small dehumidifier on a timer.

This is what I’m looking at in terms of temp and humidity for lights on, around the same as lights off besides a few degrees lower. Just stressing flower before it even comes.

Is this looking okay or?
