Well guys so far the hardest thing about this grow for me is the watering. I noticed the leaves started to curl some, but that’s normal sometimes on a rockin plant. So yesterday I used a moisture reader by inserting it at the top of the pot and it said it was dry so I gave it a gallon of water. So today the plant did not look happy. I checked the moisture again at the top and still dry. Then I jammed that damn thing through the bottom of the pot and dry…
So I just gave it 12 plus gallons of water with a little h202 to prevent root rot and believe it or not that’s what it was. I wasn’t giving it enough water.
Hmmm. 30 gallons of soil/one gallon of water… nope wasn’t enough. Thank goodness I cought this before the plant just got totally messed up…
It’s already looking better and greener thank God!
I guess 30 gallon pots inside can get the best of us because I’m use to 3 to 5 gallon pots. Logic is big pot big water for u who attempt this.
Outside would be easy because u could just drown it every other day. Realistically it’s the same. It’s 80 to 85 degrees in there with a lot light so I’m going to start treating it like an outdoor plant from now on.
Hopefully this watering and new schedule makes these buds really boom in the next few days…

@gramps what’s your guess on dry weight for this plant

Do you run a dehumidifier?

Nope not yet. 10 gallons of water ran out the pot then soaked right back up into it. That damn pot was so dry…

Dehumidifier is game changer on alot of fronts, cheap and your plants will love getting sucked dry, rather than hating being wet in diaper too long. Also Air Pots are to me everything they say!

Problem is this plant is getting sucked dry everyday. Please no jokes lol

And it will with a dehumidifier I put in ten gallons water in am, take out ten during day.
But OK next question : add water to plant, how long til at base, this is your soil durometer or thickness if you like. Fast through is good, but it must trickle all the time rather than dump and drain. IMHO

That’s another project for another project. Sound good though. I swear I can tell the buds are getting bigger. This pot really did soak up 12 gallons of water.

Buds are heading for the forth week mark. Some of the leaves are starting to turn purple. This plant needs a lot fertilizer at this stage!!

Blue Dream is a very heavy feeder. It’s the heaviest feeding plant that I have ever grown. Several days ago I noticed that the leaves were starting to yellow a bit with some rust spots. I was convinced that the soil it’s in had enough nutes for a 10 ft plant. So I gave it a strong sst and nothing. Well it did take care of the yellow leaf tips. Leaves weren’t as perky… I just didn’t like it… so I gave it 4 scoops of Jacks 20 20 20. That was 3 days ago I did that. In the past 24 hours the plant did a 180. It’s Greened up, leaves have that wicked cool look coming out of the buds… Everywhere I read people say all the time that it’s a heavy feeder, and I underestimated everyone and this plant. In just 24 hours it’s just amazing how much thicker and vibrant everything is.
I’ll post pics when I can. I was concerned there for a while that I may of lost that plant…
