My aquaponic adventures

Well, we have a crop. Everything is growing nicely, and I’ve learned to keep the lid off the trays! It’s probably why I can’t clone anything too…?

So, in here we have…

4 Skull Fuk x Zamadelica Express

4 blueberry (blue), 3 Thai Cross x Zamadelica Express (red)

3 Goji Ghash x Cat Piss (yellow), 3rd Thai Cross x Zamadelica Express (red)

2 Zamadelica Express - the only autos, for now.

I want to see the difference in plants growing in 1 gallon pots vs 3 gallon. So, the 3rd Thai Cross got a big bag and the 2 Zams will be a bit of a comparison grow.

Most of the time, I’m having to beat the hell out of the side of the fabric bag to break up the clay pebbles and roots. When I try to roll it on a counter, it doesn’t even flex, lol. So, they’re obviously root bound. I don’t mind this, it keeps the plants at a really good size in my tent, but I wanna push it now in the big bags, lol.

Wow, it’s been a few days since an update…

The 3 Goji Ghash x Catpiss are coming along, but I’m worried I may have bonsai’d them.

3 of the skull fuk x Zam are booming, the 4th is lacking a bit. I’m a little worried I’m going to end up with 3 males and a female.

All 4 blueberry x Zam are at about the same place, about inline with the smaller SFxZ

The 3 Thai Cross x Zam are about inline with the smaller SFxZ as well.

On the auto side, I have one Zamadelica inline with the bigger SFxZ, and one the same size as the smaller… Trippy.

No pics as I had a bloody flood today when the water line for one of Zams fell out and drained a ton of water into the tent. All I have to say is, love thy shopvac, lol.

I was grinding up some blueberry and came across an odd little seed. Anyone have any thoughts?

it’s like 2 seeds on the same base :person_shrugging:. I’ve found a few seeds like this, one was in the LSD bud, I’m not sure where the rest were now…

Hmm, I forgot about my security cameras, lol

Blue = Zamadelica Express
Pink = SFxZE
Green = Blueberry x ZE
Yellow = Goji Ghash x Catpiss
Red = LSD x ZE

They’re huuungry… I have a bucket of worm casting tea brewing, that should help them out :metal:

Thanks for stopping by :blush:

Oh! I picked up a decarboxylation machine that also cooks infused butter, oil, tinctures and something else. I decarb’d a solid ounce of shake, and now have it making a couple cups of coconut oil. The plan is to make gummies tomorrow :grin::metal:

1am is technically “tomorrow”, right?

So, I had about 2/3rds of the Oz in the first batch of oil, with 2 cups of coconut oil, then the last 1/3 in a second batch with 1 cup of oil.

The with the gummies, I did the 3 tbsp of water to half a bag of mix, let that boil for 4 minutes. I turned that off, stirred in 1/4cup of oil and got it all into literal gummy bear molds. I think I have about 75. Those were tossed in the freezer while I cleaned up. When I pulled them out, the oil had risen to the top of most of the bears, unfortunate. But, that didn’t stop me from having 6 of em :grin:.

That was half an hour ago, in another 20-30, I should be having a lot of fun, hahaha.

Hmm, an hour after the first 6, and very little… So, I had 2 big ones - about the size of 4 little ones, we’ll see.

This machine can also do tinctures, so if I have enough everclear left, I may have to make some of that too :grin::metal:.

Next time though, I’ll use bud instead of shake.

I think they call those seed types ‘bum’ seeds…for obvious reasons :blush:

Lol, I’m curious if it’ll sprout 1 plant or 2… Kinda cool, almost twins, but not, lol

Dunno. Give em a try!:blush:

I had 7 big ones, basically 25 gummy bears, lol. I did not make these strong enough, but I’m tooo tally going to reinfuse this oil again with a lot more :grin::smiling_imp:

Flavours for a different gummy mix arrive on Sunday, so I have a week to cook some bud into the oil :grin::metal:

The trick for the gummies and keeping the oils in the solution was to stir vigorously for at least ten minutes (I use a simple wisk and pretty much continuously stir )

I picked up some sunflower lecithin, which is supposed to fix it up. I want to infuse the same oil, but with bud and see if it’ll punch it up. The only problem is, I’m running low on bud until my next harvest…

This could end up being a problem, hahahaha.

Hmm, some of these are really taking off, others are waiting for something :person_shrugging: lol.

SFxZ

Blueberry x Zam in blue, LSD x Zam in red

Goju Ghash x Catpiss in yellow, another LSD x Zam in red

Really digging how the far right GGxCP is coming out of the bonsai’ing :metal:

For autos

Zam F6

Some are still looking crazy hungry, while others are givin’r. I’ve checked the water lines and they’re all getting fed a solid stream of nute water. I poured a few cups of water over each to make sure there’s lots of nutrition in all the clay pebbles around the roots :grin::crossed_fingers::metal:

Oh, yeah… I bought everything left on my list I need for my grow room, basically a bunch of plumbing stuff, lol. It should all be here by the end of the week :grin::metal:

Hole saw a bunch of bins, fit in uniseal, but piping up as needed and I’ll be ready to add water and fish! The kids and my Mrs have another week of school and the pups will have new babysitters for the summer and I can work on my grow :grin::metal:

Quick pic update… Some are hungry, some are really growing, they’re all getting the same amount of the same feed, and have been since the start :person_shrugging:

The SF x Zam are really taking off now, a couple of the Thai crosses are picking up, as are the blueberry. The catpiss cross on the far left is definitely getting out of it’s bonsai’ing!

I had some pH problems for a bit, it was wanting to sit at 7.1. This really slowed things down, but I have it back to 6.45 now and everything seems to be pretty happy about it, for the most part anyway.

I’m happy I have 2 of the Thai Cross x Zam that are starting to move at about the same rate, with one in a 1 gallon and 1 in a 3 gallon pot.

Unfortunately, the smaller of the Zams threw out a hundred balls overnight… NOT looking to do a major zam pollenation again, so he’s gone now. I’m fairly certain the other one is a female, but she’s not totally showing yet.

With the extra space opened up

this is happening :smile: . Thanks for the beans @Ris , let’s see how these grow!
