My first Cross, Fastbuds Crystal M.E.T.H crossed with G13 Labs Feminized Froyo Pollen has broken Ground, I am Dubbing this strain, Frozen M.E.T.H! Its already showing a Mutation I have never saw, it has dual Cotyledon leaves on one side of the plant!
Just to cover what I have done so far:
Frozen Meth Grow
5g SIP planter with Air Stone(didnt want any Stagnant water issues in the 3.5g space in the bottom bucket, so I added an air stone and pump suitable for a 10g fish tank.)
Seed soaked 9/11/2024, tail sprouted 9/12/2024.
Broke Ground in planter 9/14/2024
Showing a Mutation of the Cotyledon Leaves with a Dual Cotyledon leaf on one side of the seedling.
Peat based Media(Dr Bugbee Blend + Perlite), Watered in with Humic Acid, Lactic Acid Bacteria, Fermented plant Juice, and added Some mega crop 1 part to water tank.
Light is 500W adjustable spectrum LED, at 100% Raised to the very top of my 6’6 grow tent. The tent is 4x4x6’6. CO2 in the lung room runs at about 750ppm and the dehumidifier is set at 60%rH Temp is running about 78 to 82 in the lung room.
Below is the light spectrum choices I have, it is currently set at number 8 dead in the middle.
Congratulations! It’s super fun and rewarding to grow out your own homegrown seeds and discover what you find in them.
Do you know if the 3 cotyledon mutation is one that’s been documented in general before? That’s fun that you got one that is new to you on your first cross.
I hope it proceeds smoothly!
Thanks brother, Im excited. I am hoping I see more Mutations as the plant grows!
I figured it had been doucmented but i dont know for sure, just never saw it myself before. Really cool actually!
I just wasn’t sure and have no idea where one would look that up. And yeah, that seems like a really fundamental starting point to show mutation, so I’d imagine you’ll probably see something else along the way.
Goggled it, Lots of speculation, only thing that is for sure is its a mutation. Saw everything from it will yeild more to it means heavily female dna in the plant, to “cool mutation but the rest will grow as normal”. Who knows, just thought it was cool, Shit maybe I should reverse the whole plant, collect the pollen, and try to find another seed with that same trait and breed for it!
Personally I’d probably take a cut (I’m not familiar with the original strains, so if they’re autos obviously disregard that), but I’m taking an extremely cautious approach to preserving stuff before flowering in case I like the effects and want to have it in the future. I realize my priorities are not everyone’s!
Yep, its an auto mother, and feminized auto “father”, i have not tried photo period plants yet, i love my autos. Logically speaking, this mutatation should at least provide one advantage that I can see. That being, with the extra leaf photosynthetic activity should be higher than it would be in a 2 leaf plant.
