No prob. BTW, gnats usually are from over watering, and that’s the most common mistake made by new growers. U can lift the plant to get a feel for how heavy it is when it’s dry, though u will have to be careful now that the net is up. U can also stick a finger in the top soil to make sure the top inch or two is dry before watering again. U could also buy a digital moisture meter to get accurate measurements. Try to measure your water to get a sense of how much the plant is drinking. In the future you could automate watering with something like a SIP (sub-irragation-planter), an Olla watering kit, Blumat troph, ECT., as it takes the guess work out and allows you to take vacations without needing a plant sitter. Also, natural remedies to problems are never an instant fix, so be patient. The worst part of gnats is that they will eventually end up stuck to your bud material and you end up smoking insects. They are not super detrimental to the roots but are a fucking nuisance. They will also breed in any standing water, like saucers or spills. Good luck, Bredda.

yep that’s exactly where they came from, if you scroll back about a month you’ll see me asking why my plant is so yellow and i later found out i was overwatering really really bad, essentially flushing every feed with nutes for about a week, the flood of gnats ensued shortly after lol. i also have the ac infinity auto pots that are for self watering, although i only use them for catching my runoff for right now, i believe that’s where they’re breeding.

that’s the method!!!:joy:

It should just feel cool, and be like medium weight, and not leave visible moisture on your finger gauge.

Yes, I. Your definitely on top of it. Believe me, your over watering wasn’t that bad at all. I also have the AC infinity pots and used them exactly the same way. I had no luck getting the wicking system to work and I got a shit ton of gnats in the standing water in the pots. If you have run off water you should probably dump or suck it out with something. You’ll see the little larvae flicking around in the water. Good job with everything, man. Maybe start planning out your next run soon. Plenty of genetics available here, but, in the future, if you find yourself needing seeds, DM me and I’ll get something to you. Trod on, Bredda.

Look at your plants fucking taken off. I’ll send you some of the Sirius b x oger kush seeds when I start breaking into it. You could have almost let her run natural and keep the trellis net off.

@ibgeekdup Naw. He needed to spread out the canopy to increase the yield. In a situation where you have space left around the plant it’s better to spread the plants out. Growing a plant tall means the light is only gonna penetrate down a couple feet and the lowers yield larfy buds. Getting light on what would have been lower branches is 100% the way to go. U want to create a canopy that fills the tent and the net will support buds when they start getting heavy. There’s no advantage to not scrogging this plant.

Your not wrong with any of that. That’s all facts. The trellis improves everything you stated. It is always possible to grow without the trellis net.

@Ibegeekdup yah. People weren’t really using trellis a couple decades ago, so it’s definitely not necessary. With the way you fill your tents, too much free space definitely won’t be an issue. You’ve been doing amazing BTW, went from newbie to forum champ in few months. Good work. Best to you, wife, family, cat, ECT.

hellll yea bro looking forward to those!! :fire:

she’s adjusted to the net, ran into some issues moving the auto pots out from the bottom to drain the runoff every time i water but we will figure that out, i wonder if i can’t somehow suck the water out without having to move it from the bottom of my pot?

also done my last big defoliation, so glad bc that crap stresses me out lol, she’s so bare now
