Great looking plant for a successful first grow! As to strain recs, it’s all subjective! I would start first by figuring out which breeder has gear that is reputable and verifiably dank and then browse their specific catalog and select something with a description that fits up your alley. The affiliates/sponsors for Overgrow are a great place to start looking. Welcome, and cheers!

I wouldn’t chop that yet you have some time to go.

I’d say that plant has weeks to go before it’s ready based on the white pistils showing everywhere. Let it ripen for a week or two and post some pics in the “Is it ready yet” thread to get more opinions on chop time.
Kush strains and heavy indica strains have had the best pain relief properties for me. Things like Motorbreath 15, Triangle Kush, Wedding Cake and their crosses would be a good place to start. If possible get the clones instead of white label S1 seeds of them so you’re starting out with the legit strain. CSI Humboldt has good seeds of some clone only stuff if you have trouble getting the clones.

Do you know how many weeks it has been flowering?
Is this an indoor grow? Or outdoor?

I agree with others saying it looks like it still has multiple weeks left of flower before it’s done.

Well
Imo it could go longer But
It depends, some folks like a clean high with little stone.
Nice plant for a first time.
Think autumn, stop feeding 2 or 3 weeks from harvest and watch how your leaves do just like tree leaves do in the fall.
But I say you have an excellent future growing herb
A head of you.

Thank you and thank you everyone. It was flowering for 9wks / 63 days. It started to show amber on buds with everything else cloudy so I pulled it with it even showing those white hairs, hope I didn’t mess up too much

it was indoor in my little 2x2 tent with 100w led light.

That was grown with a 100 watt led light? Can we see your setup? I’m interested.

Yes! A vivosun vs1000. Sure I’ll attach a pic of setup

I used nature’s living on bottom third super soil method, rest coco loco in 5gal fabric pot

You killed it with that light! Like others have said it needed to go longer but you will learn as you get more grows under your belt. :v:

If you’re dealing with pains, then maybe growing a CBD strain would be helpful. I grew some of this Purple Caper - Luxor’s Chocolate CBD last winter. and the stuff has been great for pain. it’s a 1:1 thc:cbd type plant, with some other cbn/cbg/thcv in it. finishes in about 8 weeks of flower. After years in a medical program, I found the cbd’s really helped a lot with stuff the THC doesn’t touch. It was easy to get it anywhere, then all the shops switched to this Delta8 stuff. not the same. so I just got some seeds n grew out some real nice stuff. I definitely overlooked some cbd stuff early on in the med program.

CBD works well for pain, especially if it is inflammation related.
I make a tincture out of it using a 30:1 ( CBD:THC) plant.

Cheers

Skunk #1 smoke report after curing for 33 days.

Smell - When it was still in flower, it had a very sweet smell (freshly baked cookies) , but, after cure, it has changed to a Hershey’s chocolate bar, musky and skunky. Grinding it up makes the smell even louder 3x or so.

Taste - Chocolate, nutty, and sweet. Very smooth in joints and bong.

High - Pretty much instant high right behind the eyes and works its way down like a wave. Smoking a little gives me good energetic / happy high. Smoking a lot gives me couch lock / sleepiness.

Yield dry - 4oz flower .5oz trim
Overall very happy :heartpulse:
