My first time

Guys, I am planning to germinate about 30-35 seeds upcoming week, and I need your advice on pots. I am gonna plant 20 autos and about 5-7 reg photos.

I don’t know if I will choose fabric pots or plastic coz fabrics are cheap, but they aren’t waterproof on the sides. I need a clear direction about the sizes, width, length, plastic or fabric and size.

fabric pots are not supposed to be waterproof - the roots grow through the fabric - they grow straight out like they would in nature (instead of circling around and choking themselves out) and are pruned off by the air. I like to use 5 to 7 gallon fabric pots.

Fabric pots are permeable, meaning that water and air can pass into and out of the container. When water enters from the top, it permeates the soil and transpires from the sides of the pot. Excess water that reaches the bottom flows through the fabric and exits. When placed in fabric containers, plants send out roots that grow toward the edge of the pot. In a plastic container, roots will begin to circle when they reach the edge. They go around and around the perimeter of the pot looking for air . Fabric materials allow air to flow in and out of the pot.

Plastic pots should need watered a bit less often, since air can flow better in the fabric. The fabric pots are harder to overwater.
Personally, I would go with fabric if you can.

Since you get alot of rain I would go with the fabric pots as well. Since your doing autos you wanna plant in the pot your going to finish in. The question is how big do you want your plants. Bigger pots bigger plants.

I forgot to tell you. When I cut the coconut and put my pH meter inside, it showed 5.8

Think you are going to have a successful grow my friend, looking real good. Be cautious with your next step, I would increase more gradually…

Biggers pots mean bigger plants, to an extent. You won’t get huge autos, just because you use a huge pot. They only have so much potential. A small pot will sure restrict a photo plant from getting huge though.

It seems to me that all trichomes are at least milky, and some of them are little brownish… I maybe speaking out of my hunger because I haven’t smoked since 2020 January… So you guys tell me if this is the time to cut my plant.

Not yet . Wait at least till you start seeing some trichomes turning amber . I guess if your in a hurry go ahead . Your choice . :grinning:

It is too small to sample it lol… Nah man I will wait till y’all give me permission to cut it… Long gone, little left. I will wait. Should I just give a pH water for the last two weeks? I watched youtube videos, and in some of them ppl give pH water for the last two weeks and nothing else…

I feel like it days will come to end within next 2 weeks, so thinking about flushing it.

Think you are getting VERY close @Wakamaka4. Yes if you took it now it would definitely get you high. I am seeing mostly milky, still some clear, not really seeing any amber yet. I would probably let it go 2-3 more days to a week. Let’s see what the others think.
