My scrog went male

Do male plants produce any kind of flower/nuggets or is by biggest bush a freakin seed factory

Ouch. That sucks. No. You will not get anything useful from a male plant.
So sorry. :disappointed:

So if i let it seed the fuck out…whats the chances of (forgive me) feminine seeds? (Dont understand feminization fully yet)

No. Without a female plant in the area, you wont get any seeds. Unless this male is a very very rare male hermaphrodite.
But, on the bright side, your scrog and training looks stellar! Next time, with a female plant, your yield will be out of the park! He looks super healthy too!

If the male is a herm and has some female hairs in there, it might make seeds that will be ~66% male and ~33% female.

Your only options now are either eat the plant or hide it next to an outdoor grower that you hate

Bummer … @MerryWanna0303 This is the quickest easiest way to explain early male and female development. These can usually been seen early in flower. Normally within a week or two of flipping to flowering stage you can see clear male or female development. Your feeding work and canopy management is is solid nice job. You can always cheat with fems or clones but a good skill that will help you along your journey being able to determine male or female as early as possible.

Hey man prob not much help now but next time definitely consider using Farmer Freeman DNA sex test on your seedlings with regs especially for big scrog setup…they can tell you what gender and save time money resources growing out unnecessary males.

If you take your plant to the 5 th node you can put it on 12/12 for a day or two for Indica varieties Equetorials 3 days you can flip back to 18/6 and within a week or two that plant will express just enough for you to tell male or female and it will go right back to veg like nothing happend with regular seed.Expresses so small you almost need a pocket scope to see it.Some plants like selfing and cloning just wont take to this method and might not work from what i was taught.I havent seen one yet that didnt tell this way and ive done this hundreds of times so either im extremely lucky or the chance is very nil.

How do you come up with the percentage for the male to female seeds that it will produce!?

It’s punnet squares basically.

Males are XY so when breeding two together, technically the breakdown is
25% = YY - Unviable (male) Seeds - These either won’t show up at all or be white duds
50% = XY - Normal male plants
25% = XX - Normal Female plants

So of viable beans, since 25% aren’t, you get ~66%/33%

Definitely a good idea. I would really only try to SCROG a single plant big with a clone you know, so it’s not a male or a herm. Sorry you had to deal with this. Brutal.

Basically you can send a small leaf sample to them very early on before veg and within a couple days they can determine whether male or female… just $10 per plant and nearly 100% correct. I’ve yet to hear a dissatisfied customer

So we arent doing traditional thanksgiving food…were doing slow smoked bbq chicken and ribs…

Should i cut this plant down and cook with it or should i cut it up for fertilizer
