Number of trichomes per mm² strongly predicts hash yield. The length of the stalk makes it visible to the human eye, though. Most people can see things .5mm and bigger which is 500μm+. If you are like me and have this strange micro vision that destroys your ability to see things far away, you can see things 300μm tall. one third of a millimeter. But plants with trichomes 500μm tall sure look frosty like a blanket of snow. Plants with 300 microns or less on the stalk, barely look frosted at all. Example: big bud vs meat breath. Lemme get a quick photo.
even though there are more trichomes on the big bud it doesn’t look like it. lol I forgot to put the . in front of the 5 it said 5mm lol!!!

I knew what you meant I work in .0001 ranges at work! It’s amazing and simple. The more head per mm= Greater yield so it’s truly about finding something you like that drops trichomes and hold onto it!

Yah, I’m pretty sure trichome productivity is DNA based. I mean, from what I’ve seen.
Speaking of DNA, those male seedlings continue to male it up. The human eye can no longer be fooled into thinking they could be female at all. I’ll give it at least a few days more just so anyone could see.

ahh another day another bud!

The small rubbermaid works good for sexing two plants. Wouldn’t want to put a third one in there! The field of big buds are growing nicely. I should check the EC.

ain’t gettin’ more male than that!
oh wait…sure can get more male! the last one was 99.9999999999% male, this one could be 100%!

hah hah I was down there, looking at the empty buckets. Thinking oh boy I should scrub and plant! Then… ohh shit. Clones! Got no clones to plant! Forgot I had burned through the last batch. So I got out some francos lemon cheese seeds and started sprouting them. Also hooked up the clone machine, gonna slam the clones in there tonight. I shoulda done that a week ago what a dummy.

veg! The big buds are looking much better now they are not on a tap water diet.

The light burn has stabilized, no more crisp is forming, and it didn’t crisp the buds - so life is grand.

I made some clones! yay! I made 4 meat banger and 8 big buds.

oh yah the tiny stick there is a clone I’m trying the protocol 0 with except I used warm soapy water. A little dawn of the posers dish detergent in some 30C water. Put the thing in there and washed it good all violent. We’ll see if it survives!

heh heh there’s the whole shebang. Bloom room photo is kind of blurry, though! I got both of the lemon cheese seedlings sprouted. I’ll be planting them before too long!

FLC BX1 are showing signs of life. They are looking good, as well, no strange terminal mutations I can dissect for fun!

meat banger and co are needing a boost of nutrient juice. They are down to EC 1.0 not a good conductivity for a large plant. Big bud have regenerated from abuse!

Things are looking good in bloom. Some of the buds near the light burned leaves got all funny looking, but that’s life. Big bud needs a bump up to EC 3.0, they are hitting rock bottom at 1.0

these babies need to be boosted up to EC 2.5 or something. They are down to EC 1 like the big bud were.

big bud! The clones are doing good. Be a while yet before they root.

Phew bloom room is looking buff. My brain is a little fuzzy still from what happened yesterday, but it’ll probably clear up today. Side effects are purely psychological.

yah, that’s what I needed a good round of hash rips to remind me why I’m still alive. I think I should skip right to the tincture tonight. hah it almost seems like as I get older it has more of an effect on me hmm definitely takes longer to recover. Back when I was 19 it seemed like I could jump back up off the floor after they jacked me into the D10. Now I’m in my 40s it can be a dark path back to normal.

phew! Got a good 500mg of thc in me, things are looking good! ok! Those seedlings are almost ready to go into the uhhh…well I suppose I should toss those males first. How long have they been in there? hah hah well I dissected quite a bit of them, but the things you can actually see with just your eyes don’t look female at all. I should check on the time frames we’re talking about. Usually it’s 12ish days for full on bloom. I wonder if being a young seedling could delay expression?
It’s been six days, so I could expect another 6. Might be too long.
