Clever. Was wondering who would pick up on that  lol

Sigh, wet weather, and I had to chop a little botrytis outta one lady outside. Barely a touch of amber, really donā€™t wanna pull early, but 10 day forecast isnā€™t great. Some rain, and partly cloudy days in between. Gave them a good shake to get rid of moisture and fallen leaves (ya know, 3 for 3 spots of botrytis this year all had a fallen tree leaf right there. Thinking that keeps it wetter than it should be). Gonna hope for the best and pray they amber up some by next weekend. Would love to chop em sooner than laterā€¦

Took a whole branch off, so Iā€™ll get a little sample in a few days

Stripping em down of all leaves might help?

Actually not a lot of them left. I let these girls go on their own for the most part, and the slugs were horribleā€¦

I did pluck off a few yellowing fans that were left. Any fan ā€œskeletonsā€ also, since those can rot on the buds.

Good advice thoughā€¦ If they looked anything like most of the outdoors I see on here there would be tons of leaves to remove.

pulled mine a week early for this exact reason

So, we went to Atlantic City on friday night for a free (comp) concert with .38 Special. Show wasnā€™t bad, vocalist (not the original) had a few issues hitting the higher notes and his voice cracked like he just hit puberty. He also kept saying ā€œWhat a great place to be on a Saturday night!ā€ despite it being friday (the third time he said it the crowd corrected him, that was damn funny).

Not bad seats for comp tix!!

Walking the boards on Saturday, you always get hit by some panhandlers. And I never carry cash but I did have a cigarette tin with like 15 joints left it in (lol they were hawks in the Ovation Hall and no chance to smoke in the show). One vet asked if I could spare some change, and since I had none, I said ā€œSorry bud, no cash on me, would ya like a joint instead?ā€ His eyes lit up like he was a kid getting an old guy to buy him beer. ā€œSURE! what ya got?ā€ he says.

Of course, I used Glass papers, and pull out a purple joint. This guys like ā€œWHAT the hell is that? I aint never seen no purple weed before, you sure this stuff is good?ā€ I nodded, handed it over, and continued on my way to find some breakfast.

Walking back to the hotel an hour later, the same vet sees me. ā€œYo buddy! cā€™mere a secā€ he yells to me across the boards. Iā€™m wondering now, shit, what happenedā€¦ ā€œYo man, that shit got me high AF, you got any more perhaps? I hate to ask, but I got a friend who wants to try some, but you only gave me the one joint. Please if you can spare one moreā€. Normally, I would have thought ā€œYou greedy little manā€. But he was different, excited and happy, and not the typical beggar who keeps taking kinda vibe. I knew he saw I had more when I gave him the first joint. Ok, I gotta admit, if I bought it, I woulda kept walking, but since I grew it, and yes, compliments stroke egos, I gave him 2 more. This dude runs off to his buddy like a kid with a new bike. Iā€™m watching from a distance and see they both wave to me, the new guy bows his head (like a thank you).

Sometimes you need to sit back and just think for a moment ā€œwhat if that was meā€. Greed is an ugly thing, and seeing his appreciation warmed my heart more than those two joints would have. When you are fortunate, share with othersā€¦ The world would be a much kinder place if we did1

Awesome story! Makes me want to start carrying some Js around with me. Although the panhandlers around where I am are mostly the younger gutter punk types who donā€™t strike me as being as appreciative as that guy was. Might just have to give it a shot and find out though

Well, no pics today, but a minor update.

Outside: Was a nice day today. Since I chopped (read: pre-trimmed lol) all the fans off last week, the three ladies were nice and dry this afternoon. I did go out at 7am before work, and give em a good shake to start their day drying. Also sampled a little bit of the one I chopped some rot out of last week, and so far, VERY good. Nice tingly feeling on top of my head when I smoked it, very quick hitting. Iā€™ll be pissed if I lose much more to bud rot after sampling them, but they are REALLY fattening up, I didnt see any more rot today, so I am gonna let them go this week and see.

Indoors: The ladies are on cruise control, just fattening up, making seeds. The cooler temps now make it easy to keep the environment downstairs dialed in perfectly. We are at the end of one month since pollenation, so I think 2 more weeks should be plenty to allow for full seed development. The top unpollenated buds will have considerably more amber than last time, so I am looking forward to seeing the difference (and how much stray pollen found em).

Damn, I am gonna be in trim jail in two weeksā€¦ 3x3 auto tent for seeds and the 3 outside ladies.

But those are good problems!

Iā€™ll try to snap some tonight, actually been workin like a dog with the tree guys for the past two weeks. Iā€™m getting too old for that stuffā€¦ Literally have to force myself to check on them when I get home, or I crash and thats all she wrote for the night.

The variegated main cola is neat, its lots of yellow, almost like a ā€œblonde budā€. Iā€™ll definitely snap a shot of that for yaā€¦

Gotta say, I had put in some simple drip irrigation a few weeks ago, basic orbit 4 zone timer and 1/4" stuff. Set it to go for 1 minute every other day, and the 4 zones hit all the plants ultimately, the drippers are pretty fast drippers, hence the 1 min watering time, but that seems to help me quite a bit, I just gotta water with some diluted ferts occasionally thankfullyā€¦

No rush man get your rest !

Sounds like you have a lot going on lol

Do you remember on my Circus thread, I had a variegated that went from seedling to full mature flower? The top cola was white on one side and regular on the otherā€¦ but, there was no difference in smell, taste or effect. Iā€™m almost positive that particular aberration is just another of many, from all the cross breeding of different strains. Marijuana didnā€™t use to have all these strange (but sometimes wonderful) and different abnormalities.

There were pics of it, through the whole growth.

Sure doā€¦ We even chatted about taste, because I was curious if the lack of chlorophyll had any effect  From some conversations with @PetalPowerseed I have learned its not just genetic. You need like three things to align for variegation to show. Not the scientific one myself, I gleaned enough to realize you gotta have the gene, then gotta be lucky with a few other conditionsā€¦

So. On to a better updateā€¦

Photo tent is cruising along. The taller ladies are Lucky Charms on the right two, and BC Pinewarp on the left two. Tropicana Poison F2 should be obvious. As you can see, I didnā€™t do much, if any training on these. Minimal defoliation as well.

Really love the Trop Poison F2 photoā€¦

Spirit Train F2 is definitely packing on the bud AND the frost, quicker than the others, for sure! Even frosty fan leaves! Whatcha think @Sebring ?? Oh, and lots of 13-15 finger fans, with 2 odd ā€œinner second layerā€ fingers!

BC Pinewarp stacking up:

These are 4 clones of Alaskan Purple from seedsman, currently being tortured in 1 gallon fabric pots, but so far they donā€™t seem to mind?

Blonde Nugs? @Rabeats2093

And a wierd top down shot of the variegated:

The sister blueberry jack herer to the variegated is in the front, black cream in the rear:

And the rest of the auto tent, including obligatory bare feet LOL

Another 10-12 days and most of those will be pulled, the BJH and NL will likely run a little longer, and the variegated certainly will. The Trop Poison F2 auto is gonna be done for sure, as will the black creams, being 6 weeks since pollenation

Photos wont be for a whileā€¦

Oh, and outside was another nice day today, so the ladies are dry and enjoyed some sun. No more rot, so Iā€™m gonna keep em out there a bit longerā€¦

Oh, almost forgot. More pollen tonight. Mostly UFS#18 and Blue Cookies. The Black Cream looks to be running out of steamā€¦ And the dark devil is finally opening a few pods, but its dropping clumpy pollen???

And I moved these from cups to 1g felt pots tonightā€¦ All autos, some Cherry Brandy, some Space Wiz and some Tycho Monoliths thanks to @Sebring @Banquo and @anon4675195. Figured with the auto tent wrapping up in a week or two, Iā€™d get a few started. Gonna experiment with the 1g pots instead of 3ā€™s for these and see how we do.

The photo ladies will definitely put on some chunk by Decā€¦ The autos I would pull now if it was smoke, but I wanna give the seeds plenty of timeā€¦

The babiesā€¦ Who doesnā€™t love the babies? One week and KABOOM! they will be 3x the size
