whats the background of blue star sativa? i see it is your main cross just curious about it. thanks
Hi, my main strain is Blue Star, available in f2 male/female, as Grape Diesel Kush. Or available as S1 called Mayberry. The newest version of blue star is called 4 Blue Stars. The original cross was Death Star x Whitaker Blues. 4 blue stars incorporates 4 f2 blue star females back crossed to the pinnacle blueberry pue dessert wine mother. One of the f2s was a narrow leaf leaning pheno that produced blueberry kush flavored types, with blue spruce being the main pheno from that grouping that stood out to me.
I’ll leave my write up about blue star below. But for sativa blue star crosses, I have released Star Dream (blue dream x blue star), Flo Star ( djs 91 f4 flo x blue star), and out of the new lines, Schrom Star, and Mega Death Star fall into the sativa hybrid pool.
BLUE STAR
Death Star x Whitaker Blues
This project started in 2014 growing out 60 males, and selecting down to 30. Another male room was started, reversing clones of the same 30 males to judge what traits they may pass on in female form to the offspring.
The males were selected down to the top 10 to make test crosses to the control mother plant (DEATH STAR).
All 10 crosses were grown out to judge which parental combinations worked best in offspring testing.
This is where BLUE STAR was born from. BLUE STAR is a F1 of DEATH STAR X WHITAKER BLUES. I often refer to her as ‘blueberry pie dessert wine’. Bringing the best traits from blueberry and sour diesel and Afghan.
Bluez is an extremely limited release of only 50, 4 seed packs. ONLY AVAILABLE IN BOX SET #2

Didn’t know you could reverse males very interesting! Thanks for the rundown on blue star.
I picked some of this up from Michigrown last year and really enjoyed how the blue blends with the funk. I thought it was going to be dominated by the Deathstar (like a lot of the crosses I have had) but it was extraordinarily balanced. The explanation of the breeding process perfectly lays out why this is such a wonderful strain. It must have been amazing to hunt and test this one. Great work and thank you.
Thank you for the kind words and the feedback. It is an honor to work with this plant. My greatest passion. Michigrown does a great job growing for quality, but I’d like to see them run it for another 7 to 10 days. Then it comes out of the realm of a great blue diesel, to world class, lip smacking, blueberry pie dessert wine. The seed lines do have the skunk diesel funk from death star. But I have about 13 f2 lines, and the blue star line carries the most blueberry. While my diesel star line has no blueberry noticable at all. All rocket fuel. Thanks again my friend, the work continues! Keep on growing!
