New Jersey Poll Marijuana

I think I might need psilocybin therapy after hearing that they’re legalizing homegrow for that before weed. Where’s the tower, where’s the gun…

That was August 26th.

What a turn out! When 5 people assemble what can be accomplished boggles the mind

If I knew I would have attended

I don’t know that it’s the way to accomplish anything anyway. Unfortunately I don’t have better ideas but still. We’re just at their mercy and a few potheads gathering doesn’t mean anything to them. It’s Jersey and the cash grab was always first and foremost. They see homegrow as a threat to that revenue but they know eventually they will have to allow at least patients to grow. We’re on their time, they aren’t on ours.

Scutari’s first and biggest interest is MSO’s and Big Pharma, that’s where the donations roll in from. Homegrow isn’t even on his radar until his coffers get their fill…

Yeah I guess it’s nothing like the old days. It used to be a bunch of hippies gathering could change the world , ( note all the protests that we did back in the day) nowadays we can’t get a bunch of us old hippies even to have the government change the grow laws

I guess we all just faded away lol :joy:

Yeah it’s pretty sad that when they talked about legalization here in New Jersey they mentioned that a certain amount of the licenses would be set aside for the little guy. All I see are MSOs that had a head start. I don’t think we should be allowed to be called the Garden State if we’re not even allowed to grow our own meds. I mean it’s crazy that not even the medical patients are allowed to either.

It’s all about the $$$$in our fair state lol

I know I my self and a few others in our nj group was interested in a craft style grow shop small scale and only grow some elite strain that not seen around !

Well NJ thanks for killing that dream

Being said I’m 69 and never thought I’d see the day NJ even went recreational

But this no home grow is just stupid

NJ stop this stupidity NOW

I mean there’s got to be something we all could do right? I don’t have a ton of friends but the ones I do have would certainly stand with me if we had to organize a rally or something. My grandmother is 77, and I personally have seen more positive effect from her consuming cannabis then I have seen from any other pills she’s been on for the past 10 years. About a year and a half ago she had a real hard time eating because she never felt hungry, we got that under control now. But as stated in a previous post that it literally comes down to meds, rent/property taxes, or food and we’re not rich enough to have all three so we only get to pick two yet all 3 are essential. It still blows my mind how cannabis was even made illegal in the first place… I have nothing personal against alcohol but I lost three family members over the past 6 years because of drunk drivers and the three people that were killed in my family didn’t drink it all. But we can’t grow ourselves a couple little plants? Its not like other “drugs” although I don’t classify cannabis as a drug, where you need to process it and convert it to something else like the harder stuff. I might be going on a little rant here but I feel like all drugs should be legal and if you want to put that stuff in your body it should be your own choice but if you commit a crime and you were found under the influence under something else at the time the penalties should be more severe as opposed to someone who didn’t do whatever substance would be in question

Protests wouldnt do much alone in my opinion, it could be beneficial to protest while simultaneously boycotting the current retail market.

If Fetterman defeats Oz here in Pa i see recreational being implemented, but again the lobbyists would kill any homegrow efforts i believe. Perhaps now would be the time to get him to commit to such if elected, but nobody’s gonna push him prior to the midterms.

Yea hopefully PA gets the rec. passed. I’m right on the NJ/PA border so I follow both states as the majority of my friends and family reside in one or the other.

Nobody outside NJ calls it the Garden State anyway. It’s officially known as “the Armpit of America.” Tours start in Elizabeth, take a brief stop in Brick City where you can get knifed by a Latin King real quick, and conclude in the Purgatory that we know as Trenton, where nothing ever happens without seven compromises and a nine-figure payoff.

Yeah it’s not great now but it was never great when I was a kid

It was always a tuff town

It did get bad
Unfortunately that’s why most of us moved out of the area
Only to find the same shit every where you go

Dunno, I don’t think I was born yet when it was tolerable… I get within 5-10 miles and start to smell it, then I turn the fan to recirculating the air rather than pulling in “fresh.” I’ve never been out of the car there and don’t want to. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now now now I grew up in that area lol

I have fond memories of me moving out of there lol

That’s what I’ll say when I finally sell this place and move to a swing state, where they force their politicians to at least make a show of respecting freedom. :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s a band from Elizabeth called E- Town Concrete and I got in an online argument with some dude who said Edmonton in Canada was the real E Town. I told him they should fight for it and promised him the population of Elizabeth could take on not only Edmonton successfully but they could bring the rest of Canada with them and still get killed
