Hi guys. I Just got my new x2 solstrips and they have two connectors om each end. One end is + and the other is -. How do I connect them? Two wires from each end? So one strips has for wires? Thanks for Quick help
Only attach 2… One to + one to -. The other connectors are for linking boards.
However I am. Not sure if you are supposed to run these in Series or parallel.
Paraler. Or the others I got are conencted this way
yeah 4 connectors is normal, it’s for if you’re linking multiple boards in parallel
Yep its so you can link up more boards in parallel by just wiring from one board to the next.
No need for Wago connectors or anything.
Hi. I Just finished the Light. Pls tell me it is alright the three part wago clamps will be conencted to the circuit with other three Lights and 185w driver
That don’t look correct!
There are many good threads about how to build SolStrip lights, just find the link-o-rama thread and have a look. There you can see all the best, of how others have done already.
Good luck
@Baudelaire can you please spare a few minutes here.
Throw away the wagos. The whole point of the dual-connector design is to eliminate the need for them. Just wire all the positives together and all the negatives together:
With your end-to-end design, you might consider placing all of one pole (pos or neg) facing each other in the center to keep things neat.
Both of these options will blow up your strips. Do not use them. The connectors are clearly marked + or - (pos/neg). Just follow the marks.
Yeah I forget to tell the whole design. Its going to be a store shelf for growing microgreens. So I have Four seperated Lights and each of them is on its own shelf. Something like a huge cloning station anyway I put them together and switched them on. They work like a magic
See them your self!
Edit: its 185w meanwell driver set on max with 8 strips. They are Just warm to the touch
