How’s your drainage?
Are you supplementing your feeds with Cal-Mag?
Yes, I’m supplementing with calmag. I increased the dose about about a week ago. Drainage is questionable. Flushing 20%.
Ph problems with lockout is the only other issue I can think of.
I’ve had some issues like that with cold and saturated soil.
That’s where I’m leaning. Ph problems possibly causing phosphorus lock out? It has been cool the last few days. Coco probably Saturated, maybe salt build up?. It’s only week 3 of flower, on a 8 week strain. Have yet to decrease nutrients. So too early for fade in my Experience.
NICE work
Looks great! Anything you really liked about coco? Anything you didn’t like?
Thanks for the kind replies guys. Still getting the hang of it. I was really worried that I was going to have to water constantly. You know 3,4 times a day. I have a very bad back and cannot Be carrying water constantly. I don’t know if it was my scrappy style/how I mixed the cocoa but I ended up only needing to water once every 3,4 days not 3,4 times a day. The watering ended up being even easier than the DWC I was growing in before. Pumps/ hoses gone.
But man does it need a lot of cal/mag. I’ll be buying more than PH. down!
I’ve been growing that JellyRancher, for over 3 years. Did not Stretch as much in the Cocoa, then it did in DWC. a plus in my book. a bit frostier too. Really responsive you could really see the changes when dealing with nutrients. Both good and bad.
I find that weed grown in coco tastes better than DWC.
Have you noticed this?
Have yet to try. Yet to harvest. Maby 5-7 days. I think I will pop a couple small buds off tomorrow. Will report back
Great plants!!
Coco coir (less than the CH) and coco husks have been in my mix for many years now, along with a few other items. But Yeah, I’m a hopeless coconut also!
OK, it’s smoke update on my first Coco. Grow.
After a one week dry and a week and a half cure.
the jelly rancher is a clone for the last three years It’s been in stedy rotation. So it’s a good marker. I found it to be sweeter and the nose to be a bit stronger.
All and all I’m still in the learning curve, but.
I think I’m rounding the bend. I find growing in coco. To be more enjoyable than DWC. Maybe it’s something about the fact that I can pick the plants up, move them around. Or feel the wet Coco. I don’t know but The fact that I can move them will. definitely aid in plant training.
The nutrient regiment I’m using is different than the one I was using in DWC. I don’t know if it’s that or growing in coco but. The jelly rancher hits harder and has more of a psychedelic effect than before.
By the end of the day I think i’m going to stick with coco for the foreseeable future.

Nice job!! My opinion, coco growing provides more “precision stress” than DWC which by all accounts i think puts a plant on virtual cruise control, so to speak. I also think that’s why people swear “soil/organic tastes best” it’s not so much the soil as the precision stress experienced by the plant. Drybacks n such. Everything we love about smoking cannabis, all its effects & flavors etc, are stress responses.
NICE work, fantastic looking buds
Congrats on the success!! And enjoy. Excellent job, my friend. They really look great
