So I have two NL5 haze plants and both in same soil. One plant doin fine the other not happy. Can anyone help with this plant issue?? Close up photos are of the smaller plant.
My first impression, too hot and or too much water.
Good luck, others will chime in.
NLxHaze is one of the best hybrids I have ever grown
At a glance I’d say too hot not enough nitrogen ![]()
Taco leaves too hot i think, but wait for somebody else. Are those the swami ones? The tall one looks alright for the most part
Are they both growing outdoors/greenhouse it looks like?
Cause that would speak against light/temp issues. Although I often find that within a strain some phenos can be just dandy with your environment while others struggle.
Same with watering. Some will take overwatering in stride, others will get sick from it.
What I seem to notice on the pictures is that the pot sizes are very different.
That could explain everything already. Maybe the small plant is rootbound or getting there while the big one was able to increase its roots at will.
As above so below they say ![]()
There are a handful of pests that will roll up your leaves like that. Mealy bugs, and some caterpillar varieties come to mind. Although i dont see the associated bite marks or anything outside the top of the plant that would indicate a pest.
if you dont see any pests inside the curled up leaves, my guess is, the leaf folds are heat related.
Rootbound imo. As its showing on the newest growth.
Pop them in the ground. That problem will go away.
Appreciate the responses, it was in the 90’s that day and yes they are growing outside no greenhouse. They are two different phenos, one tall and one short. These NL5 haze plants are from Swami Organic Seeds.
I don’t have access to them whenever I want as they are at a buds house which is a little drive. I just check on them 1 or 2 times a week and watering has been tricky cause after I watered them the day before it rained. So the pots were drenched but the big one seemed fine.
Some phenos take the heat better than others. I actually had a plant die from it yesterday. As mentioned theyre root bound and should be repotted. Once they’re in bigger final pots they will start taking off again🙂
In the pic the smaller plant or short pheno had only been in the pot for a week. It’s prior shoes was a solo-cup for a couple months so I don’t think it’d be root bound.
rootbound, tacos from heat stress lack of oxygen maybe too. In amended ground, or much bigger fabric pot would do.
