A bit late uploading these from a few days ago, but here it is.
Gave the bed about 3.5 gallons of water the day of these pics. Everything has been fading a bit earlier than I had planned, Roze Cookies (ethos) has been going purple as well. I also need to do a small amount of defoliation soon. Also everything is falling all over and I have had to tie what I could up to the trellis since it was a bit too high for the front plants and some other branches.
I have ran into a few issues for sure, but everything is still alive and thickening up. Between the weather changes and all the changes going on to every tent, I have been having heat/humidity issues in the 4x4 (always fighting it in there). My big light is turned all the way down and is up to the roof just to get the heat and PAR down.
My theory is: A mix of only adding amendments once the whole cycle, the Take and Bake being on the light side when it comes to nutrients, temp/humidity battle, overrunning the lights for most of flower (I don’t have the co2 levels to handle those levels of PAR), hitting the bed with too many SST’s in a row and battling thrips. I think all of this stacked together at various times had caused some issues. I think the galaxy was cranking along and when it was hit with a few SST’s it just started eating up most of the available food near it and set the biology behind and was just not able to catch back up producing the available food the plant was wanting. Everything else seemed to be fine with the food they had accept the Blood Lotus (front left), I think the Galaxy stretched over there and ate some of its rations as well lol. Trying to get my environment dialed in for next round. Learning lots this cycle and cant wait to start the next!
Damn. That’s a serious sprayer. I assume you only put water through it. Do you ever clean it, and is it easy to clean? I just use a bucket or tub with a tube and pump with a on/off knob on the end.
Ya it is a killer sprayer. I have run compost teas, SST’s, microbial inoculants, aloe powder, quillaja wetting agent etc etc. I usually use it a handful of times and then clean it out with hot water and soap or some EM-5. Pretty easy to clean since I can stick my arm down inside it if I need to scrub some buildup off the bottom (usually settled aloe powder or rootwise). Usually I just put whatever cleaner I am using inside, put a bunch of hot water in it and shake shake. Then I take the nozzle off the and firehose it all out. I do that a few times and leave it at that.
I was curious, because my stuff gets kinda funky looking after a bit, using stuff other than plain water. Probably doesn’t cause much harm, but my tubing is definitely a fungi magnet.
I went like 3 years though using the same nasty brown tubing before I replaced it though a few months ago, so it can’t be that bad.
It just depends on how full it is. If I put 3-3.5 gallons in it, it only will hold about 10 pumps, then you have to pump it again after about a gallon if you want to keep good spray/speed. If I have about 2 gallons in it I think I pump it up to 20 times for the first spray before I pump again. Sorta just depends heh.
Ya I did not use my sprayer for a little too long after putting some tea through it and that was the first time it had got a bit ripe so I cleaned it lol.
@BeagleZ@LegsMahoney I have been working on a few other tent spreader designs and the new and improved spreader/wall/trellis support. Pretty hyped at how good this one works. Here are a few quick pics and vid clip I took when I was in the middle of installing this in a tent I am using for the Earthbox grow diary I am going to be starting soon.
A bit hard to see since I have a bunch of zip tie clutter all over. I will get some better shots at some point so you can see their function better, I was should have taken more pictures before I got too deep into it. I was busy trying to throw it all together and make sure cats did not try to run in and feast on the plants lol. I was able to install the spreaders, connect the support bars and slowly lower it all down slowly myself as I stuffed and weaved the plants through. Once it was all secured and ready to lower, I just pushed each corner down a little bit at a time till I was all level and in place. Even with a zip tie wrapped around the tent pole and spreader to secure the trellis corner, it is all still able to slide past the tent pole connector nipple that sticks out. Works flawlessly though, love them already lol.
This is awesome dude! I’m digging it! I love how the poles integrate and make it one big support.
Nicely done!!
I have cats too, they are bigger stoners than me . I feel your pain.
That’s awesome man! I’m glad you got it all dialed, put me on the list for a set of those spreaders when you’re ready to start your 3D printed tent accessory empire!! Also the plants look great dude! Jeremy from BAS would be proud
Ooh almost forgot. I started setting up and programing the automation logic for a few tents. Only really have my 32x32 and 3x4 tents set up with sensors, smart plugs and their own automation flows, but the 4x4 just has sensor data and the other tents are not set up and the sensors are just sitting on my desk here. Here soon I will have all the tents lined out and I may even throw a camera in a tent or 2 (currently have 2 security camera sitting here).
I have a lot of changes I will need to make to my whole setup before the weather starts getting hotter, so hopefully everything works out how I would like in the end.
Heh alright bud, we can chat about it a bit and I can design the ends to fit what ever dimension material you are wanting to use for the connectors. I don’t think this grow would make Jeremy proud, but next round hopefully heh.
Started getting some seeds in a paper towel late before I went to bed, ended up firing up the 3D modeling software after a few puffs off the hash pipe and this is what became of it…lol.
A little tribute to @TestOfOath. When I went to start pulling seeds out to sprout, hit pack was sitting in front of me (since I was too lazy to catalog it into a container) so I took it as a sign from the ganja lords and threw one in.
Each one I was trying some different settings trying to find what I liked for the detail/time used. I only have black on hand till some filament I ordered shows up, so I just went with it since I was inspired lol.
Cool as shit bud, I been wanting to get a 3D printer to mess around with myself, seems the possibility of useful things you can make are almost endless
I took a few years of CAD class in high school, so it has been pretty fun to brush back up on what I learned back then heh. I was in welding, CAD, small engines etc etc, so a project I was given one time was to 3D model a rolling table with all these mounts for everything needed to be able to use and run the small engine dyno the teacher had spent all his budget for the year on lol. Was pretty cool to design it from the ground up and then go to welding class and make it.
