Beach restoration on Hatteras island
They dredge up sand way off shore and pump it half a mile to blow these geysers on shore.
Then bulldozers push it around, sometimes they’re half submerged which is amazing that they even fire up at all…
Made me go hmm 
As a kid I would help my mom with her business, which was transplanting marsh grass to prevent shoreline erosion, which is good but much different than what happens in Hatteras. This island is moving.
