Thanks dude, im gonna update my ID-10 Tango form (resume) with my new title ![]()
Yeah. Audio tech pros are wonderful. You don’t even know they are there but they 1100% know what they are doing, what gear they need, and why they use it.
When running electrical as a gaffer I’d always be mindful of any audio cable I saw making sure to not even step on them and to keep my gear far away.
One day the sound recordest made comment that he’s seeing me be so cautious of his cables and asked why.
Me: “Dude, I know to many audio techs to assume that I know what’s in this cable… is it a 50$ off the shelf single channel cable or a custom made snake line caring 10x individual signals clean down the line at the cost of $1000 for just that one cable? It’s safer for my anxiety to assume the latter than something the production would be okay paying for any damages.”
He laughed really hard and then gave me a hug.

It’s true the custom cable making station was very expensive and very popular. But I got little stuff done for free like a 15’ cable for my iPod ![]()
Sounds like Richard!
Yes that’s the one.
He’s also one of very few techs qualified to fix complex gear from certain brands.
Im also gonna use you guys as references, expect lots of calls im applying everywhere. ![]()
“ @breadwinner was chronically late, took long lunches, consistently left early. But he’s got weed so he’s cool.”
" @breadwinner never wore pants on site, always gave a solid
to troublesome clients, and habitually ate sandwiches at a moments notice with no clear sign of where he was pulling these sandwiches from. 11/10 good employee."
My cargo pockets are an example of function dictating form. my boomhauer dialect is someting deeper that language. Im pretty sure i can build a paper airplane to ride in.
And yet you still can’t be on time…
I’m sure he is on time!
Just always in the wrong zone.
Oh shit I thought you meant noon in Singapore.
Yeah, i wander off somtimes. But i always bring back good stuff.
Blender is an all time favorite app for me. I use it for all sorts of things as a 3D printing tabletop wargamer.
