I flew to Kinshasa in April to explore and experience landrace strains found in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The several stories I had read about the unmatched potency of Congolese weed were indeed true.
The sativa that I smoked in Kinshasa originates from northern Angola. The growers also double up as couriers who use pickups and lorries to distribute it across the Angola-DRC border. They’re quite secretive about the smuggling routes they use to reach their markets.
The seedlings in the photos are almost 3 weeks old. The grower is based in Costa Rica and reports that the northern Angola seedlings have adapted perfectly to the environment.
Its interesting to note that the stems and branches produce a combination of creamy and orange scents.
