Northern Lights #1

Yeah vision just has NL fems, not NL1. It’s likely sensi’s 2x5 or 5x1 if anything.

I did run their Russian Snow tho a few years back and it was good herb. I’d do it again.

Good to know appreciate your input!

Vision seems to be a Spanish white label seed company.

I am looking further into Deep Ellum Seeds. I have grown their G13 x NL#2 the past two years and really enjoyed it. @deep_rob are you still around!?

Just trying to gather more information on what year they sourced it? If anyone has experience with it and would like to share? How it differs from other NL#1 lines they have grown? .

Apples and onions seems a little far fetched to describe the difference between AKBB NL#1 vs. Deep Ellum’s NL#1. Care to elaborate…?

Is your picture of a AKBB NL#1?

Cool, thanks for sharing. I would love to hear more about how they differ in your experience?

Side note I was looking up Ice River Genetics and they have line called Old School Northern Lights. Seems to be a nondescript NL line no specific lineage I could see. Anyone know anything about it?

Another thing I just stumbled upon. Katsu’s Trinity Skunk S1 saying that

Trinity Skunk S1 – The Trinity is a unique heirloom of Cannabis, originating from Eugene, Oregon. This clone-only strain has a rich history and distinct characteristics that set it apart from others. There’s speculation that the Trinity may be a Northern Lights #1 (NL1) bagseed or some other Pure Afghanica Cannabis bagseed.

Just some food for thought. I don’t think I have heard that before. I haven’t had any interactions with the Trinity.

I grew coastal 88g13hp x NL#1 a few years ago. 1 from the pack was very NL and was spectacular

Why did you delete your posts @Rocket ? Seems odd as they were part of a nice dialog about NL1.

Not sure of the sourcing but they still got some in stock:

3 Way NL1, from AKBB. Sun grown in New England a few seasons ago. Sedative and relaxing.

Thanks @AMunkFromCupertino ! I have heard good things about blackbird. I am purchasing at least a pack of the NL#1.

Very nice looking Nl1 @Klyphman . I find the purple fading nl1’s to be really nice!

He can correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure it’s just a repro of AKBB’s 3 way.

I just emailed him to confirm. I’ll keep everyone posted.

NL#1 x Puck #7
Gassy fruit super dense nugs

That’s a heavy weight cross, how does the smoke compare to the individual NL1 or Puck?

The NL really dominated in this cross. Very rare to see in comparison to other puck hybrids I have seen.

It is more of a gassy pine forest floor musky little fruity in the NL1 x puck. Definitely has some more complexity than the pnwhp. Not to diminish the hashplant at all. Smoke is very similar, heavy narcotic high, with the nl1 x puck mildly more functional than nl1 or puck.

This was an interesting read. I’ve tried the NL from Jordan of the Islands years back, I remember it was so strong I got nothing done. I have a NL#2 on at the moment.

I contacted J toucan from blackbird preservation and he told me this about the NL#1 he has.

"NL1 stock came thru Heime Cheeba, AK Bean Brains and a cut from a friend. Lots of camphor/mothballs dark earthy notes and some fruit in the background. Trigger a little earlier than most and finish around 8-9 weeks. "

Seems like it is similar to the 3-way NL#1, if not the same. They did an outdoor selection on it so I figured that was a step in the right direction for me as an outdoor grower primarily.

Seems like deep ellum holds a cut. I asked if it was available. Waiting to hear back.

I just received two packs! I will keep everyone posted on what I find.

Cracked 9 out of 9 of these
(almost 10 yr old) NL’s just to germ test and blamo 100% °○°.
4 are noticably darker, all of them have wide leaves.
I allowed the temp to hit high 50’s twice and it reflected in slowing development but they immediately bounced back at 80F.
One week old now, I looked & I have about 60 more beans.
