Oaxhacan. Seed run

That’s a nice looking plant Greg :+1:. Do you have beans of her? I’d love to cross her to mine

I’m not sure yet what a sativa will look like after years of extensive breeding, but I would have to agree with @GMan about potential hybridization. Those are some fat leaves for Oaxaca and a very fast flowering time too. Likely an early hybrid selected for Oaxaca traits for a number of years imo, but those seeds look clean so purity can’t be ruled out yet. Old Ibl’s also lose striping on the seeds.

There’re really taking off now since I transplanted into bigger pots. I’ll update with pictures later

All I know is it was potent smoke

Those early hybrids were some of the best smoke ever created. They can have extra power to them. I’ve read many accounts saying how good they can be. I managed to change my own strains outdoor flowering time by one day a year.
A professional grower breeding selectively since the late 70’s could knock a month off the flowering time of the faster phenos perhaps. That would be 9 weeks.
Regardless I’m curious. As a Preservationist I can sometimes likely seem like a landrace snob regarding flower time/ purity. That’s just me trying to gauge how hard i need to beg for seeds😁. The pure ones are hard to find.
@GregOG that looks nice. Good side branching potential.

Mine came from a local guy in playa del Carmen Mexico.

I think I do, I put them in a vial, just have to pop them and make sure lol

That clone getting seeded up was pollenated by this strong Afghanica phenotype expression super rich sweet smelling Red Devil.

Plus it had 11 leaves, which I never really seen in all the seeds I popped , I gotta share this male plant in my journal soon. You’re all seeing it first :100::dove:

I’m using this Red Devil to breed into, Red Devil, WS18 (Washington Skunk x Uncle Festers Skunk 18) , Hawaiian Sativa x Turkish Hash Plant and Garlic bud.

I saved some RD pollen and threw the male back in veg after downsizing it.

Thatbred devil is your afghanica and Afghan cross isn’t it?

Afghani #1 x Original Skunk is Afghanica.

Red devil is Afghanica X Afghani Skunk.

And another version of Red Devil may have been Afghanica x Skunk 1

I’m growing Afghan Skunk now as well. I’ve got a couple plants for it to breed up.

Afghanica, Devil , Ash, and Maybe the WS18 and Oaxacan when I get it cloned up good enough for breeding projects.

The Oaxacan knocked me down during cloning. After 3 days I removed the saran wrap off the cloning bucket and it was strong as a Skunk hitting you.

Not a Skunk but hit me just like a full RKS, it happen so fast I can’t really pin the smell. Maybe a Christmas tree/evergreen possibly.

Best smelling stuff I’ve had in many many years. Lol

I got lucky 2 years ago and one Garlic bud was full RKS in cure.

Not a Skunk taste in the bud more hashy, but we freaked out at my cousins 2 seasons ago, I was rolling one for the ride home and decided to let it sit a while open after it was so perfect RKS throughout his whole house.

The Oaxacan is a lot stronger in knock down aroma then the Garlic Skunk power one had.

No doubt about it, since the Oaxacan did it as a plant not a cured bud :dove:

Making me wanting to drop my Oaxaca seeds. Probably moving into a sog style grow for a while that way I can run my Christmas bud testers and get some Oaxaca started. Plus I have so much I want to grow that 1gal pots and 12/12 grow will really open up options and will give me a chance for a perpetual grow.

I’m sure glad I got them last year from @Arturo_Gas personal stash Copalita Village Oaxacan. I’ve got one clone seeding up in a cross to Red Devil.

It has great inner growth development and I’ll see how many Red Oaxacan or Oaxacan Devil seeds I can share here. The father Red Devil was a beastly Afghanica phenotype.

Here’s the mom topped once, I’m way behind on cloning it up :dove:
