Occasional seed found in female bud

@Sanspepins Today’s the day! I moved her to the 12/12 room (but back out of the direct light for the first few days) because I found a few hairs!!! They are tiny, but they’re there. I will be posting pics tonight after 9 when the lights come on. :grin:🪴

Miss L.E.2nd moved to the 12/12 room and now it has been a week since her last photoshoot… the tiny hairs I thought I saw are a little bigger today. Here are pictures from two sides (with and without flash), see if you see any hairs…

Did your runt seed grow?

I have another thread called “Runt Seed Surprise” but I didn’t find it in a plant… I got that tiny baby from Pacific Seed Company… if you have a growing diary somewhere, I’d like to see it. :grin:

@LemonadeJoe

This thread accidentally turned into a growing diary… I’m not sure how these things are handled, but if you think it’s a good idea, you could move it there.

Ms L.E. 2 is definitely, obviously flowering now… in fact, I’d say she’s showing off!

Should I trim all the excess leaves off the inner and lower branches? I’ve heard it called lollipop trimming.

I wish I had thought to take a clone before she flowered!!!

I finalky made, and jeez, what a thread that turned into a journal! Lots of good info and somewhat civil discourse haha :upside_down_face:

I would go ahead and Take all those lower branches as clones. They will root and then reveg, it will take a while, but at least you will still have the genetics!

In for the ride :sunglasses:

I may have already said this before in this thread, but I always grew the lone bagseed out and they always came out female.

It’s fun when you buy something from the dispensary and find a seed. I still keep those and label them. It’s an easy way to try a strain without buying a full pack of seeds first. I always had great luck and got nice vigorous plants.

I got a seed in some Ghost Dream from the dispo after I first moved into this house and I grew the seed. It made a beautiful Christmas tree plant and even made about 3-4 seeds, again, which I saved.

Yours sure made a nice female. Enjoy! peace

Spring sprung away and Summer is trying to cook us alive, but Miss Laganga Estranga the 2nd is in the 12/12 room, in between the rows of heavy-duty light bars that are only on from 9 pm to 9 am and the AC and fans manage to keep her special room around 79-84 and she loves it! She will be moving under the light bar in a couple of days. (Somebody else — see my pic of Lady Gaga under “Ready to Harvest? Post your pics and get advice” — is getting harvested and making space for her), so all is well.

Here are a couple of pics to show this week’s growth;

Getting taller and bushier every day… I will be trimming her this week:

I’m ready for my closeup, Mr Demille:

Strange find in a plant from a known feminized seed! In a group of nothing but known fem seeds. Weird huh?:flushed::grin:

I can’t wait to find out if Ms Laganga will gift me with a seed too! :wink:

Miss L.E. 2 has been trimmed but she had already began to flower, so I didn’t cut the top off.

I have pulled the lowed branches out and tied them out where they can soak up the light. Right now, she’s in the center of the room, between the light bars, but she will be moving directly under the lights in a few days.

Miss L.E.2 has BLOSSOMED!!! Look at all those flower blooms! She got under the 12/12 low light and went crazy. Got her all tied up too.

I’m using the fan for height reference.

First is the distance shot: (the light bars are TERRIBLE for photography!!)

Then a close up shot:

@vernal

I sent you a private message yesterday, but now I don’t see it in my list of messages… maybe I am not rated high enough to send PMs cuz I’m pretty new… did you get it?

I have a cookies and cream frost queen . I found 1 lower male flower during the seed run .

Never found a single banana running clones of her , but every once in a while ill get 1 perfect seed from her. I’ve grown a few out and they always resemble mom closely

I don’t think Vernal has been around here for quite a while @Reithel

I’ve only been a member for almost 100 days, and earlier in this thread, @vernal posted several responses to comments, so if he’s gone, he hasn’t been gone too long. Hopefully he will check in now & then. Thanks.

I’m very new to growing so I read a lot here, trying to learn… Vernal made comments about plants that have “run past their harvest time” producing seeds… it was part of a huge debate that I really don’t want to re-ignite at this time because there were a lot of very technical, scientific posts that I understood not one word of… so I wrote to him/her trying to learn about their experience.

My plants came from feminized seeds bought from reputable seed banks and I looked at them every day… no bananas.

In the meantime, I have also learned that letting the plants get too hot can cause them enough stress to make seeds too, so I may have found my answer.

About a month ago, we had a sudden change of seasons… temps went from the 60s and 70s to 90s overnight and I turned the central air on of course, but it really struggled to bring the temp in the house down and the plants were in a room that was really hot, even though I run my lights on from 9pm to 9am.

If you have any enlightenment on this subject, I would love to read it, but please remember… I’m no scientist.

Thank you for reading this.

I wouldn’t want to reignite that debate either, lots of things can make a plant turn, heat stress, light stress, root bound, ran late into flowering… but if it weren’t for that trait existing in cannabis… who knows? It may have become extinct at some point, I mean it probably doesn’t do it for no reason. Just my opinion, I hope I don’t get attacked :grimacing: @Reithel :joy:
