We’ve read the Poisonwood Bible multiple times around here. Something new comes to light each reading.
So excellent in writing, plot and the elucidation of complex motivations.
Kingsolver is prolific, but I think Poisonwood is her best effort.

This is a really tough read but I found it to be the only thorough history of indigenous California massacres.
Read this if you haven’t already. A phenomenal non-fiction book about Apaches, fighting, resistance… crimes.
She had the opportunity to speak with living witnesses…
