OH420's first seed run

This is my first seed run. I had a really nice pheno of a DoSiDos33 and a Glueystone tester from BrothersGrimm that yielded very well and was top shelf smoke. I reversed a branch of one of the DD33 clones to pollinate the GS plant and by the way it looks, i should have many hundred seeds. Eventually id like to do a seed giveaway or trade.

it’s all fun n games til ya goto harvest the seeds, and you get wayyyyyyyyyyy too many. that’s where i’m at right now. like. it’s gonna be a bunch of work drying these all and collecting a couple thousand seeds.

That’s awesome! Its rewarding when you make and grow your own seeds, and you get to see them in other peoples’ gardens.

Yea, I’m sure I’m grossly underestimating the amount of seeds when I said hundreds. It’ll probably be in the thousands. I sprayed 1 lower branch initally but a little overspray hit another branch but I isolated that branch with plastic on the successive sprays. After a couple flowers formed i went ahead and chopped that whole branch and dusted her and the Glueystone and threw it away. A little later on the branch that only got hit once with overspray formed a couple flowers and must have threw a lot of pollen. I was kind of hoping to heavily seed her because I’m going to have to trash the bud but lightly seed the rest but it looks like the rest are going to be seeded fairly heavily. Im just going to wash it all for hash minus the pollen donor and give away most of the seeds. I’ve got a few outdoor grower friends and like to see how they yield outdoors. On my last run, the Dosidos produced a little over 12ozs in a 5 gallon pot but I think outdoors it could do so much more.

very nice choice, and welcome to og.

Here’s a quick update. The Glueystone split on me shortly after watering. Spliced her back together with some parafilm and tie wired a couple branches to the top. I underestimated the seeded bud weight. The Dosidos33 seem to have a little stronger branches and seem to be holding the weight pretty good.

Here are a couple bud shots. Seeds are forming

The 3 Dosidos33 and the Glueystone.

Here’s a few more pics. I’m starting to get mature seeds at week 5 or so but going to let them go a couple more weeks to let some of the later polinated buds mature

Ok guys, heres an update. I’m about 7 weeks into flower and these girls look further ahead than when I flowered them from seed at this point. Maybe clones mature a little faster? Anyways I’m already seeing a lot of mature seeds at this point but I’m still going to let them go another week or two to get the most out of them. The Glueystone plant that split didnt really have any bad effects from it. Her frame isn’t as robust as the Dosidos33 and she needed support due to the seed weight. I’ve got her tied up now and the others are doing fine with no support. Looks like 1000s of seeds will be had despite trying to lightly seed them lol. Anyways later on down the road if there’d be an interest for them I’d definitely be interested in trades and I’ll definitely do some giveaways for sure.

The crazy thing is, now that I look at the pics is that most people almost unanimously prefer the Glueystone over the Dosidos33 despite the appearance. The Glueystone appears to have way less trichome density (pic5) but most of my friends like it more. The Dosidos33 was a better yielder with a nicer structure is why I crossed it so hopefully it’ll have the traits of both. I think Brothersgrimm got it right with ths cross!! Hopefully this cross compliments it.

That’s interesting. Especially since I’ve found my old love of hash back. Which is basically seperating the trichs. Guess it truly is whats inside that counts.
They both look incredibly frosty :call_me_hand:

Just a quick update. Got some seeds starting to fall out almost. I’m thinking I’ll have less than i thought but that might be a good thing as I intend to use the bulk of this for hash.

Probably going to harvest within the next week or two.

Well here’s a couple pics. Ive pulled a few seeds to test maturity and will probably wait another week to harvest. The Glueystone seeds are maturing a little slower than the DD33. I’ll post more pics up when I chop.
