Ohio people, pay attention to what the state legislator is trying to do. Increase taxes on recreational, reduce plant counts, and make gifting illegal. It’s purely a money grab. NORML makes it easy to send your representatives a letter showing your disapproval. It only takes a second to reach out and stand up for the rights you voted for.

Home grow is what made Ohio’s legislation decent. Ohio’s legal market is pretty awful. 2.83 grams for the same price or more than other states sell 8ths. Most of Ohios legal cultivators are controlled by the same few large companies that are absolute trash. This is a money grab that will simply bolster the black market. 15% tax on already overpriced garbage is going to make people look outside of the dispensaries. Lots of Ohioans already just go to Michigan because even if they have to make an 8 hour round trip from the southern portion of the state, they can still save money.

They do what they want to when it affects the money in their pocket when it comes out of the black market. Or someway they can take a legal money away from people illegally.

6 plants or 12 a house is great. Anything lower is crap. Plus i love gifting clones and flower to my family and friends.
Who cares what i do in my basement anyway.

I hope they dont change our home grow. 6 plants or 12 plants is perfect.
I supply myself, wife, & family. So the way it is i can give stuff to my family or friends for free. If the plant count lowers i wont be in the same situation.
Thats if im following plant count to be a good boy. But really, whos counting.

It’s definitely the principle of the whole thing. We voted and now they’re changing it. In the big scheme of things, changing plant counts and making it illegal to give it away won’t change much for those who were already on the fringe, but for those of us who do follow the laws and any who voted for the current law, its really spitting in the face of voters, showing how little they respect us.

It is a complete shame that our current government thinks we are too stupid to know what we voted for. It is an infringement of our rights and complete government over reach. We need to continue making our voices heard. It still has to make it through the House of Representatives so we need to email them and call them.

Constitutional amendment is very powerful. Missouri did this. They did immediately raise taxes afterwards. All the “regular” voters for the smaller elections vote for more taxes as they dont smoke. But plant count of 6 plus 12 non flowering is decent.
